The hot guy from the gym is at the door, wearing a Santa hat, and I’m about to make a fool of myself in 3…2…1.
Ugh, how is this my life?
Oh yeah, right. My mother found videos of a cocky nature on my phone, and I was immediately disinvited from the house I’d grown up in. So, now I’m living with my brother and his husband, and I’ve volunteered to help decorate their gym for Christmas.
With the unnervingly handsome guy in the Santa hat, apparently. Seriously, who knew wrists could be sexy?
Meanwhile, I’m just a dorky virgin with a terrible sweet tooth and a bad habit of saying whatever comes into my head. I’m sure I won’t embarrass myself at all.
Santa, I could use a Christmas miracle right about now.
Candy is a novella in the Wrecked series and features a devout virgin, a faithless hottie, and a pastor-slash-instigator.
REVIEW:
Note: This story is part of the Wrecked universe but it works fine as a standalone.
Caleb has been kicked out by his family after his mother discovers CockyBoys on his phone. They are super religious and Caleb has been hiding his sexuality his whole life – but especially after seeing what his parents did to his other brother. With nowhere else to go, Caleb seeks out his older brother Elijah. He has a gym in Austin for combat vets and Caleb is pretty sure that’s where he’ll find him. When he does, Elijah welcomes him with open arms. Caleb is fascinated by the gym – and by one particular guy who is working the climbing wall 😉
Jordan is a bit of a manwhore – his own words. He’s not interested in anything more than fun from the guys he meets. That is until he meets Caleb. He’s never met anyone so innocent and unaware of his own nature. He’s intrigued and more than a little attracted. For some reason, Caleh stirs up a whole lot of lust and strangely protective feelings. He’s aware that Caleb is most likely a virgin and he so wants to be there for him – in every way. But not to use him – to care for him.
Jordan and Caleb work together decorating the gym and they get to know a little about each other. When Christmas comes around, there may be some matchmaking going on with their friends and family 😉 But Caleb and Jordan are OK with that. Jordan is willing to take things at Caleb’s pace, but Caleb doesn’t really want to wait anymore – he’s been waiting his whole life to be himself.
This is a really cute story with two very likable MCs They are opposites in a lot of ways, but they just seem to fit. They move from lust to love pretty quickly, but it seems reasonable given how comfortable Caleb is finally feeling now that he can really be himself. I haven’t read the Wrecked series and I didn’t feel lost. Enough background is given on the rest of the characters to provide a sense of this group of found family. Maybe things wrapped up a little neatly for Caleb and his family, but hey, it’s the season of miracles 😉 If you’re looking for a sexy, steamy, fairly low angst Holiday novella with wonderful HEAs for multiple couples, then I think you might really enjoy this little bit of holiday cheer!
