Captain of the Highnam Academy football team, and the bane of my existence.
As Alstone High’s team captain, I’ve been pitted against him from the beginning, but our conflict isn’t only reserved for the pitch.
Everyone knows we’re enemies. From our first encounter, our rivalry has been escalating, spiralling out of control.
Until one night when everything between us changed.
He pushed me too far, and we crossed a line that should never have been crossed.
Now, I can’t get him out of my head.
Can we ever be more than rivals, or are there too many obstacles in our way?
One thing I know for sure.
Things between us will never be the same again.

REVIEW:
So this was a surprise in all the right ways!
I picked this up because I really like a good new adult story and I am a soccer fan so all good, you would say, right?
When I started I was not so convinced as it took me a bit to get into the story. I was struggling with how the story started and didn’t get a feel right away, BUT that so changed!!
From the moment I could settle myself in the story I was absolutely totally engrossed with these two guys. Asher and Levi are seriously the bomb.
From the enemies to careful friends to lovers it was all a very exciting, enjoyable, sexy ride.
Add in a couple of friends, best friends, girls and families and you have a perfect match up.
From the beginning the tension is very high in aggression, in pranks and rivalry. I think that is also what made me struggle a bit at the start.
Author Becca Steel sure knows how to work these guys.
Asher and Levi are opposites coming from different upbringings yet both passionate and sincere and loyal to the bone.
The blurb sets you up for the story so no need to sum that up. What better is there to enjoy their ride towards each other with all emotions, some angst, rivals, definite sexual tension and love as a bow to wrap it all up?
I can say that if you are into a enemies to lovers story set in a highschool this is a must read and I hightly recommend it.
