Jonah I’ve had to be in control of everything for so long; all I want is for someone else to take charge…Fate seems determined to push a mysterious and adorable punk boy my way. He’s young, tenacious, and obviously attracted to me. I’ve come a long way from the damaged teen I was, but I fear my past will forever haunt me. Maybe I don’t deserve a happily ever after. Or do I? Tycho Now that I know I’m a dom, all I want is a big, burly man who will submit to me…Destiny throws Mr. Perfectly Imperfect my way—repeatedly—and I know I can’t let him get away. I try to show him how to let go and allow someone else to take care of him for once, but our pasts are colliding in the worst way. It’s going to take effort, friendship, and a whole lot of trust for this silver fox to hand over control. Especially when someone else is dead set on tearing it all down.
REVIEW:
As an up-and-coming new author Jamie (Lex) Luther is on my to be watched and read list. He takes a trope and tosses it on its ear to create a world, where – what some people, would think of as abnormal is considered normal.
Disclaimer: this is the second book of the series, and you must read them in order.
The underlying premise of this story and long ranging story arc is the family patriarch has died and has placed some very specific stipulations, in order to inherit from his estate. In the first book we had his son Chad, and in this book, we have his son Jonah. Jonah was forced to leave home at 15 and he’s never been back until now. He’s 40-year-old submissive who becomes intrigued by Tycho the 23-year-old femme Dom.
Jamie has created a world in which role reversals are commonplace and considered the norm. He creates some insanely hot and beautiful chemistry between Jonah and Tycho. Jamie creates a consensual and safe environment for Jonah and Tycho to work out their particular dynamic- Jonah experiences the highs he’s always wanted to with Tycho as his Dom. The old adage that opposites attract is in full force in this story. I loved how Jamie melds their worlds together, while keeping them grounded in their own personalities. Both have been tested by the outside world. Will they be able to survive all the outside interference? Will they find more common ground to build their relationship? I’m not going to tell. You need to pick up this series from Jamie Luther and find out for yourself.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and some of his standalone books. I recommend checking out and keeping an eye on this up-and-coming author.
