BLURB:
I wish I had a Daddy who hugged me real tight so I never needed to hug a pillow… I’m not saying that I feel lonely because …well…I’m used to being alone but if there was a play-daddy available who would just hug me, I’d do anything to feel the warmth of his touch, both inside and out.
*Sigh* Okay.
I’m touch starved.
REVIEW:
The first thing I’d like to say is that the blurb for this book is terrible and doesn’t give a single real hint about the contents of this story. I had no idea there was a supernatural element to this story until about a quarter of the way through. I am also confused about the cover as on Amazon there is one cover but in Goodreads it’s something else.
David is a character I wanted to love but honestly he just mostly annoyed me. Telling this story from the first person perspective really didn’t work for me at all. He honestly comes across as a little unhinged because of the way he keeps talking to himself in different voices. I love little using little voices but the back and forth is distracting and just kept pulling me out of the story. Also, I don’t find using “juices” to describe bodily fluids as sexy at all. But maybe that’s just me.
Faine doesn’t really come into the story until too far in and there’s really nothing much about their actual relationship in the story itself. It just kind of ends without really feeling like the story is finished. Faine’s character just comes off as kind of stalkerish.
This book had a lot of potential to be a good story, but I spent so much time being annoyed that I couldn’t really get into it. It’s a very different kind of thing so if odd is your genre, you’ll probably like it.
