Caged in Fire by Amy Thorn
Caged Duet, Book 2
ISAAC
There are enemies all around and I’m in the hands of the worst ones my club has ever faced. They plan to sell me as punishment for what Thanatos has done to them and caught up in the cross fire, I have no idea if I’m going to survive long enough to see the man I love again. I have to keep fighting, despite the darkness that’s swallowing me whole. I have to live because dying would destroy him.
THANATOS
I never expected to fall for Isaac, but he’s fast become my reason for breathing. I’ll stop at nothing to save his life, even if it means risking my own. He’s mine and no one is ever taking him from me.
But that choice may not be mine. People are moving against me and my club. If i don’t act fast enough, Isaac could be the one to suffer.

“Than.” Spider’s voice has my head snapping up.
I push up, not wanting to show any hint of weakness, and snap my spine straight. “I want those fuckers found. I want them dead,” I hiss.
“We’ll find him.”
I don’t know how the fuck he’s so calm. It’s his brother that’s missing. His own flesh and blood. When Tillie was taken, I’d torn the clubhouse apart. I want to do that now, but it didn’t help last time and I doubt it will help this time either.
“In what condition, though? Garrett knows Isaac is important to me. He’ll use him to hurt me for destroying his fucking empire.”
Spider stares at me for a moment, his eyes scanning my face endlessly. “In what way is my brother important to you?”
I won’t lie, not to a man I consider closer than blood, a man who has been through hell and back with me without flinching, but the urge to cover the truth sits on the tip of my tongue.
Denying Isaac, failing to acknowledge what we have, doesn’t sit right with me though. Even if I don’t have the first clue what we are. We were at a crossroads before he was taken. We were moving forward with things. I felt… safe. Whole. Complete. For the first time in a long time, I could breathe easily without that constant niggling ache in my stomach.
“He’s mine.”
Admitting it doesn’t make the sky fall in. It doesn’t make fire rain down, and as I say the words, I realise it is the truth. He is mine, and he’s been mine from the first moment I saw him standing in my clubhouse, looking lost and ready to find a new path.
Two broken halves of a whole.
