Love is beautiful and glorious and… something like heaven.
As a guardian angel, Nikolai has one job—to protect his charge. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less. Follow the Corporate manual and watch over the charge in his care to the best of his ability. Which isn’t a problem since following the rules is what he does best.
Until now. Until this charge. Until Nicolai begins to… feel.
Nikolai is stunned when he first experiences human emotions. The next shocker comes when he falls in love with his own charge—his Jonathan. Whether or not to save Jonathan when his life is at risk isn’t even a question, neither is sacrificing his grace to make it happen.
This 26k short read novella is the prequel for an upcoming series. Watch out for an adorable demon, dreams coming true, and the biggest shocker two cis males could never expect to receive. Yes, this is an mpreg story! I hope you find all the heart and laughter you can expect from Susi Hawke.
REVIEW:
A Susi Hawke MPREG Book ✔️ What I wasn’t expecting was angels and demons but what a ride!
Jonathan Michaelson has had one heck of a hard life. Yes he is a billionaire thanks to his dead parents. His mom was an adored Hollywood star that died during childbirth and his dad was a rock star that died in a car accident when he was two. But he was born premature with a hole in his heart that required three surgeries before he was a year old. At four years old he was diagnosed with cancer and was in and out of hospitals until her was seven. At 16 he had a heart transplant. Now, at 26 he is dying from inoperable brain cancer and not even his Golden guardian angel Nikolai can protect him from this tragic end…or can he???
Oh how sweet was it that, just when he needed him most Jonathan’s guardian angel stepped forward with the supreme sacrifice to save the man he developed feelings for and fell in love with. Giving his grace to save Jonathan was the supreme sacrifice. He gave up his heavenly grace so that they could remain together. I loved Zee’s special gift when his dear friend saved Jonathan. And what a gift it was! And I loved that Jonathan devoted his short life to giving to those that needed his help.
This is an entire new genre for me. Guardian Angels giving their grace to their human charge so they can both live out their lives as humans protected from ailments to live a longer life. And demons (think of the devil referred to as Luci -short for Lucifer) with mystical powers and givers of special “gifts”. I loved Zenon, known affectionately as Zee, was a huge surprise and favorite. I never in a million years would have imagined a more adorable and spunky demon. And referring to Heaven as “Corporate” was a new way of thinking. I have a feeling this entire series is going to be eye opening and challenge my thinking and beliefs in many different ways. But I am so looking forward to the challenge!
This is the prequel to the new series and I for one can’t wait to embark on this new journey. Angels, demons, fallen angels, nephilims…bring them on! But I suggest that you buckle up because I think this is going to be a bumpy and eye-opening ride!!!
