The problem is that Reed is completely overwhelmed with all of his responsibilities. Tyler is away a lot for the business, he’s convinced his daughter hates him, and he just wants a few hours of uninterrupted sleep.
When Tyler realizes what Reed needs, he does his best to make it up to Reed, but when they find out that Reed is pregnant again, they both know something has to give. Can they find a life and love balance that suits them and make their family work even with all the difficulties?
This is a gay shifter mpreg romance novella that follows Coffee and Honeybuns.
REVIEW:
I was eager to get to this novella after reading Coffee and Honeybuns. I can tell you…It was worth the wait and I was not disappointed!
We first met the two Bear shifters Tyler, a strong Alpha Grizzly and his sweet mate Reed, as cuddly little Omega Black Bear in the Valleywood series. Now they and their precious and precocious one year-old daughter Candace have settled into their lives back in the woods of Colorado. Tyler is still in charge of training for the family-owned coffee chain Rocky Mountain Java. Tyler’s brother Justin is CEO and he hired Reed to be his right-hand man/assistant/scheduler. Now Tyler and Reed find out that baby number two is on the way. Things are rough and something has to change or else.
I loved how much more spunkier and speaking up Reed is. He has grown and matured. He has a husband and his daughter and now baby number two right on her heels so he isn’t being pushed around so easily, especially by his brother-in-law and boss. Been there, done that, not happening again.
And who wouldn’t want Tyler for a mate? He’s gorgeous, loving, tender, thoughtful, and the perfect husband. That is if he can ever get his brother mated up so he will settle down and have a life outside the company so he can concentrate on his own perfect family.
I loved that the author decided to do a new series with the original book as the launching point. I have become invested in this family and can’t wait for more to come. This was a wonderful novella to guide us to the new series. I do recommend that you read the Valleywood book “Coffee and Honeybuns” first.
