Thank you LoveBytes for inviting us to share our exciting news today. We are so happy to be here that we come with not one but two giveaways.
A quaint village in the English countryside… the perfect place to fall in love?
Podlington is a village unlike any other.
Should you arrive in Podlington by train, the magic starts as soon as you step onto the platform. The station, untouched by modern technology, seems to belong in a time long past. And the same is true for the village you will encounter. The grey-stone cottages have an old-world feel, especially in winter when smoke unfurls from the chimneys.
A river twists its way around the village, passing by the old mill which is no longer working but used to provide employment for villagers. Hopes are that it may do so again someday soon.
Scratch a little deeper though and you discover that Podlington’s charm runs deeper than its idyllic setting and picturesque appearance. Where else would you find a guest house in which the rooms always perfectly match the needs of the occupants? Is there another place where love always wins? And why is it that some people find Podlington by accident whereas others, who are looking to get there, have trouble finding their way?
Many are mystified and wonder if the coincidences are down to luck or if they are in some way related to the local standing stones, ley lines, and ancient magic. Others claim that love can’t help but thrive in such a charming setting, while yet another group of people dismiss the idea and put the whole thing down to dumb luck.
Whatever the case may be, there is no denying Podlington’s unrivaled record for surprises when it comes to bringing together two men who were made for each other. And the four of us, Alex Jane, H J Perry, Riza Curtis, and Helena Stone, are privileged that we’re allowed to share some of those love stories with you.
And while I’m on the subject of writing with three other authors, that could easily have been a recipe for disaster. But, I like to think that Podlington performed its magic on that process too. Of course, we encountered one or two hiccups along the way but everything gelled together perfectly in the end, not unlike the men in our stories.
This is our invitation to you to join us in Podlington and enjoy the happily ever afters that are the norm there. We start with Picture Perfect, Rewriting History, Dazzling Doctor, and Booked for Love but it won’t be too long before we bring you new couples in need of a little magic to find each other.
