Five years later we are reluctantly reunited in revenge against the motorcycle club that made me betray him.

I still love him but he hates me.

Johnny

I’d always trusted Cash Mcree until he left me broken and bloody and walked away. He says he did it to save my life.

Now we’re going after the assholes that tore us apart.

I say I still hate him, but I’m lying to us both.

REVIEW:

Cash and Johnny have a lot of history to work through. Good and bad. Its going to take a lot of trust on both their parts to come together to take down the assholes who tore them apart when they were younger. And neither man is the trusting type.

I liked this book a lot. The author did a great job of setting the stage for these characters. They were both born into a life of crime but neither one wants to be there. As they look for ways to escape, and take their friends with them, they slowly start to figure out who they really are.

The relationship between Johnny and Cash is awesome. Tons of chemistry and it’s all very smoking hot. However I also like their friends. Daisy is my favorite. I love a gal who’s not afraid to knock a few heads together to bring her friends to their senses. Jeb and Eli have their own kind of chemistry going on and I’m really hoping they will be featured a little more in book 2 of this series.

As a first novel, this is very well done and this author could quickly become a favorite for me. The writing is sharp and focused where it needs to be. I like the fact that they are not rushing things and while I hate cliffhangers as a rule, this one was timely and appropriate. Please don’t leave me hanging too long Remi Varlow. I don’t have a lot of patience.

It’s not perfect. I would have drawn out the tension between Johnny and Cash a little longer. I feel like Johnny should have made Cash suffer a little longer before forgiving him but I also appreciate Daisy’s method of working things out.

I really do hope it doesn’t take to long for book 2. Remi Varlow, you did a great job on your first voyage into publishing. Can’t wait to see what comes next!
