REVIEW:
So I had heard somewhere that this was going to be the last book of the series and I was actually a bit sad by that news especially when I figured out this story was going to deal with Charlie in some way. You know I don’t read blurbs, so I didn’t want to know ahead of time. And boy, was I in for the surprise of my life.
I KNEW Leo and Charlie has some kind of history. I KNEW it. Or else everything about Charlie wouldn’t have eaten at Leo so much. I also guessed who Al really was and partially what was going on but you’ll have to read and find out for yourself. All I have to say, be ready for the ride of your life. Because it’s going to take you on a major one. And I’m not going to lie, Leo’s initial reaction to a situation was funny as heck and I think I would have added a few more things in for that one.
The thing with Leo, with him being a part of the group, I knew he had a back story and I knew it was going to be his turn now. Everyone else got what they needed done except him. But the depth at which his issue was, was mind-blowing. And heart wrenching. I don’t blame him at all for being a bit jaded and cynical about things. And with Charlie coming back, after all the stunts he pulled, including faking his death???? I’m surprised Leo didn’t kill him for real. But like with everyone else, there’s a job and they have to find out what’s going on. And when Charlie and Leo figure it out before everyone else, it’s almost a slap in the face. Actually, it really is, considering the circumstances. And with everything that keeps popping up in places, it makes things creepier.
This was such a good story. Soooooo many twists and turns I never expected. Some I figured out along the way but I never expected this. And as for the next adventure….lol…..boy they can’t stay out of trouble for anything and I can’t wait to see what happened.
