BLURB:
When an ER doctor rescues an accident-prone boy on a tropical island getaway, is it true love or just a tourist attraction?
Gavin doesn’t do relationships. Sure, he’s a Daddy, but he’s married to his job. So a kinky vacation to Turks and Caicos, where he can find a boy-of-the-week, is exactly what he needs to temporarily sate his Daddy desires. What he doesn’t need is to find an awkward and brilliant boy in the Miami airport who makes him question everything before his vacation has even begun.
Ollie needs a Daddy… and a doctor as well. He inadvertently injures himself on a daily basis so when he literally stumbles into Gavin, it seems like a match made in heaven. Ollie regularly relies on his trusty first aid kit, but when he learns Gavin isn’t looking for something serious, Ollie realizes he can’t put a bandage on a broken heart.
Will Gavin be able to make room in his life for the perfectly imperfect Ollie after they return to Miami, or will a week of playing doctor become nothing more than a fond memory?
REVIEW:
I have always found the dynamics involve in Daddy Kink fascinating and interesting. I am so intrigue that whenever I encounter a book that has this trope I just have to read it! Well, it will ultimately depend on the blurb and the way it is written. I know that there are various forms of Daddy Kink. But I think the one that I love the most, and I think the common factors among these different forms are the love and attention that is given by the Daddy to his Boy. I love that part the most.
I am enamored with a Daddy who just wants to take care of his Boy, to make sure that he has all he needs. A Daddy who provides love and care and knows what his Boy needs at that particular moment in time. Someone who takes time to know everything that there is to know about his Boy. And of course, a Boy who truly needs a Daddy beyond the physical, a Boy who seeks emotional connection and the mental balance he craves more than anything else. There are various reasons why people crave and provide these kind of connection. It can be because of some trauma in the past, or it is in their DNA to want to take care of someone beyond the physical level. I find all of these riveting and amazing.
Ollie has always been clumsy. He has accepted that about himself, but because of it, and the fact that he is very smart, it somehow affects his chances of finding the right Daddy for him. They always find him “too much.” When his friend won a trip to a Cuffd event specifically for Daddies and Boys, his friends decided that it would be the perfect opportunity for all of them to find their Daddies. But on the way there, Ollie has already experienced several situations that somehow paved the way for him to meet one of the most gorgeous men ever. And he is definitely Daddy material, although Ollie is not sure if he swings that way.
Being an ER Doctor has put Gavin’s “life” on hold, literally. He now has no time to date or find someone, his own Boy, that he could love and care for. The fact that he has no time to date, let alone have a relationship has resulted to him taking this vacation to an event sponsored by his dating app. He never expected to meet someone who epitomizes the perfect Boy for him. But, he just can’t get into a relationship right now because he thinks it would be unfair to his Boy if he cannot give him the proper attention and care that he deserves. And this Boy deserves it all! He has never found someone so perfect for him. But what is he supposed to do?
The two lovely authors of this love story did an absolutely amazing job! They were able to tell us the fears and the insecurities of both main characters. They were able to relate the complexities of dating, especially if there are special requirements involve. Likewise, I love the supporting characters, who are as important as the main characters, because they made Ollie’s and Gavin’s interactions more interesting, and unexpected in some ways. I like the camaraderie and solidarity that Ollie and his friends have. They love Ollie so much. The whole story is just beautiful! Thank you Ms. Luna David and Ms. Honey London for sharing this amazing story with us.
