REVIEW:
Like most of the time, I admit I find it hard to review the second book in these trilogies. Let me make it clear, it’s not because it’s lacking in any form, definitely not that, but it’s hard to mention something without getting too deep into the story, especially when you haven’t read the first book, for example.
So this is me trying to give something, but not to much 🙂
First off, let me say I love the fact that in this trilogy both authors again proceed to set up a different write up again, especially for the 2nd book in a series. What you think you are going to get, forget about it because Miss Frank and Miss Blaine again find a way to surprise you, at least they did me!
This second part is about Kieran and Bash and how they are evolving. I have to say it gave me all the feels. I loved to read about their time together, exploring, connecting and also spending time with each other, but also Bash’s friends.
Let’s not forget Kieran’s family on the background. I mean, Kieran is on Bash’s turf but the few snippets of his contact with his brothers are hilarious. (not spoiling anything 😉 )
I was bummed when I reached the end and knew there’s another month wait ahead to finally get to see how this story will end. But like I said, it was also unexpected because it’s the opposite of what you often have while reading a so-called middle book which leaves you hanging; instead, this book gave me a satisfied warm feeling, so happy me 🙂
So off we go and wait for what I’m pretty damn sure will be an amazing third book coming.
