LENGTH: 93 pages
RELEASE DATE: February 17, 2019
BLURB:
When a case of mistaken identity leads to a sexy proposition involving rope, a hot lumberjack Dom and a much younger newbie sub get more than they bargained for.
Makeup vlogger Cam isn’t looking for love, but when real-life lumberjack Johnny arrives on his doorstep, he decides to take a chance on exploring long-held desires for the first time.
Johnny also isn’t looking for a permanent connection, but he’s intrigued by the glam and sexy Cam in more ways than one. The more they spend time together, the more each man comes to care for the other, both in and out of the bedroom.
In order to have a real future together, however, each will need to learn to trust in the good thing they’ve found and believe in the power of love.
Contains mild BDSM elements between two enthusiastically consenting men, plenty of smoking hot sexy times, sweet feels, and a guaranteed low-angst happy ending. Part of the Rainbow Cove universe, but stands alone. Newly revised with a brand-new 7,000 word steamy extended epilogue!
REVIEW:
I loved getting to know Johnny and Cam.
Cam has moved down to the Oregon Coast to help his Aunt Martha, who had developed dementia, after his Uncle George passed. They had always been super special to him and openly accepted his lifestyle choices. Being a gay makeup vlogger mad it simple to pick up roots and plant them in Rainbow Cove. When Cam mistakes the hunky lumberjack for a stripper at his door things heat up. Johnny seizes the moment and invites the gorgeous Cam for a shibari/photo session. But can Cam learn to trust Johnny and his intentions enough to try his kinky offer?
We met Johnny, the lumberjack that was Curtis’s friend in book two. Curtis warned Logan that he was a Rope Dom and I really wanted his story after that.
I loved how both men had to learn to trust their thoughts and desires. Cam’s young and his ex really did a number on his dating confidence. Johnny hasn’t been bitten by the love bug before but knows Cam is special from the start. And his artistically done makeup further boosts his desires. These two men simply work together.
Where the previous two books were a slow burn this novella works much faster and their desires for each other burn hotter faster. I loved how Cam would sink into the feelings while bound. He was a natural sub but still feisty when not submitting. And Johnny just wowed me with his caring and nurturing nature.
I believe the epilogue is a bonus scene that has been added. I love when we get a glimpse back at a couple and see how their relationship has fared and matured.
I really enjoyed this quick trip back to Rainbow Cove. We really didn’t get to interact much with my favorites from this quaint town but that wasn’t the purpose for this novella. I really look forward to book four and getting Adam’s story.
