Sometimes it takes a little push to start over.
Texan Jon Oliver’s need to serve comes completely naturally, it’s simply a part of who he is. But he’s been alone a long time caring for his dying mother, and now that she’s gone, he’s at loose ends. Needing a strong connection, if only for a week, he spends a chunk of his inheritance for a chance at the AirB&D.
Liam Oberlin lives and works in New York City and hasn’t been anyone’s master in a very long time. He lost his lover a few years ago and doesn’t believe there’s anyone else out there who could love and serve him as completely. His week at AirB&D is a gift from an insistent friend, and although Liam is skeptical, he tries to be what Jon needs him to be.
The matchmaker’s instincts are rarely off-base. But are these two men really ready for new beginnings?
REVIEW:
I came back for a visit to the delightful Air B&D to see the newest visitors.
Liam is being basically “forced” by his best friend Rein to take a vacation at the charming B&D on Maine’s coast with a stranger some weird matchmaker has set him up with. Don’t they understand he is no longer part of that life since his boy/sub Kyle pasted away. Now they want him “Playing Dom to a fantasy sub”! What do they not understand? But those thoughts start to thaw a bit when he lays eyes on the beautiful cowboy who is the epitome of a natural sub! But Jon has “scars” too that make him question his natural submissive side. Can these two men try or is it just too much?
I liked that this book gave us a bit more than the last book. We got to see how both men became the way they were and finally worked at getting to know the other. Granted there is only so much character development that can happen in less than 100 pages but I did feel that we got a lot more in this book. These men had so much to work through but is was a pleasure to watch their natural dominate and submissive sides burst through and lead the way.
The biggest complaint, and it’s not much, is that I finally see them give way to their feelings and desires and then they are gone. I guess that’s what it’s like being an inn keeper and seeing couples meet, connect and then leave. We never get to find out how their lives go but have to simply assume that the transition goes well and they get their hard earned HEA.
Where the last book was a daddy/boy relationship this story is more BDSM with the D/s relationship including all the toys downstairs!
These are short, easy reads and I can’t wait to see who Grady places at the house next.
