Damon
The silver screen has always been my gold standard of romance.
But sometimes you just need a change of pace.
Surely even I can handle a few months of casual fun without falling head over heels.
I’ll never know unless I push the envelope.
Rhett
A rolling stone gathers no moss.
A quick job closer to home and then I’m out of here.
I have no intention of letting anyone clip my wings.
With the equivalent of Fort Knox around my heart, not even a sexy bear can tear it down, right?
Paper Airplanes is book 2 in the Perspective Series. A dual POV story featuring two men who most definitely do not understand how to navigate casual relationships, schoolyard forms of communication, meddling friends and family, a golden ball of fluff with a completely legitimate name, and a guaranteed HEA. Although this may be read as a standalone, the series is best enjoyed in order.
REVIEW:
No commitments and relationships for Rhett, nope, not for him.
Damon likes what he sees with Rhett, he’ll start on friendly terms with him, he’s more someone for long terms, but he is okay with it.
With help from his best friend, Rhett finds a temporary job at Damon and his brother Jude’s landscape company. They share an office.
“First, I don’t date. I don’t do attachment. I don’t do forever.”
They tried to keep their distance, they really tried. But when they meet, again, at a bar, the attraction is undeniable and the heat is on. Rhett is clear, he’s not staying forever, just casual and keep it a secret for their friends. Damon accepts the conditions. Dang his heart.
Damon is a big bear, decent, gentle, friendly, romantic, and even a bit shy. Rhett finds him irresistible and so so adorable, his heart does strange things. He can enjoy this man but can’t allow himself to get involved too much. He got his reasons and he’ll leave soon.
They start something, it’s fun, passionate, lovely, and secretly of course. Rhett is firm with his theory no dates, don’t get attached. But oh boy, how wrong can he be!
Family and friends are of great importance in this story. They bring fun, support, commotion, and solidarity. Let’s not forget fluffy Barkley!
It’s quite emotional at times, I got some blurry eyes, it’s steamy and also very endearing. The author created two beautiful layered characters, I enjoyed it greatly how they are developed. I loved Rhett and I absolutely adored Damon.
Wonderfully and captivatingly written story, with engaging characters and a good plot. I enjoyed this story very!
The meaning of the title is everything!
