A hundred years after the pandemic that killed a quarter of the world’s unbonded omegas, every unbonded omega is guaranteed safe haven on an Omega Sanctuary.
But the only way to leave – is to find a mate.
John Willoughby is getting what he doesn’t want.
Quiet, focused John has lived on an Omega Sanctuary for over half of his 24 years of life. He has no intention of leaving. Who needs an alpha? He’s happy in his garden with his trees.
That’s before he meets the young alpha who insults and infuriates him. Or the older alpha who talks to him and makes him laugh.
But he could never have both of them… could he?
Wade Sheppard is getting a lucky break.
Wade doesn’t have the bank account or the fame. What he’s got is his determination to be the best Major League pitcher on the East Coast. He doesn’t need to bond with the cute omega he meets. No matter how much his smile sends Wade’s heart – and temper – soaring.
Thank goodness that older alpha intervened before anything could get any worse…
Javier Espinoza is getting a second chance.
After his first mate died, Javier had no intentions of mating again. But Javier is drawn to sweet, shy John, despite his best intentions. Watching him spar with Wade just makes Javier feel all the more protective of them both.
Surely, whatever bond those two obviously share – couldn’t have anything to do with Javier. Could it?
Pheromones are pesky things…
No one is surprised when an alpha triggers John’s estrus – but everyone is surprised when it’s not one alpha, but two. Can John, Wade, and Javier convince anyone that they should remain together? Or will the bond they’ve formed be forced to fade away?
The Accidental Alphas is the first book in the Omega Sanctuary Graduates series. It is an MMM Omegaverse romance with a HFN ending. It features boarding school-esque shenanigans, Boston-style baseball fans, and distinguished silver foxes in very nice suits.
REVIEW:
The story starts just fine with a wake-up call: “It’s a Mating Day!”
All unbonded omegas live on the Sanctuary, it the safest place for them, this way they don’t catch the deadly virus.
The omegas are waiting for a potential mate. Twice-monthly there is a Mating Day with a party, not for twenty-four-year-old John, no, he doesn’t need an alpha. He’s happy with his garden and trees.
John’s first encounter with Wade was on Mating Day, and it didn’t go well. Wade’s opinions about life and omegas aren’t to John’s likes. The much older Javier instead has his approval. Javier isn’t looking for a mate, his first mate died and he’ll never mate again. Little does he know!
Wade wants to slap himself for the way he acted around the few years younger, beautiful omega, he wanted to impress him but instead awful words came out of his mouth.
After the party is over and everyone is turned home, Javier gets an urgent call about an omega in need of him, his mate. Javier races back to take John with him.
There is something strange going on. It seems John isn’t recovering after the mating, he yearns for more. That’s where Javier calls Wade.
John could have been very content, if it wasn’t for the fact two alphas are arguing, his name pushed back and forth between them as if none of them wants to keep him?
The chaos is complete when John’s parents arrive.
There is a lot of storytelling, and I must confess I skipped some, I was anxiously looking through the pages to find out about the three of them.
I got so angry with certain people. How they hurt John. They didn’t even try to listen to him and understand what he was saying, it was so simple, he had two alpha’s, there!
What we have here is a sweet relationship with a widower, a gardener, and an athlete. Two alphas and an omega.
An, for society, exceptional relationship. The resistance against their relationship was harsh.
The connection, between the three of them, was strong, the pressure from outside high.
It was a lovely story, widely written, for me just a bit too. The sexual encounters were steamy and attractive. There are some emotional moments, I loved that, I would have loved more tension and even struggle between the three men. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this story.
This was book one of a series so I understand the need to expand the picture, it was clearly outlined and prepared for the next installment. I do hope it’s about Reuben and Mason!
