Harrison has finally found the perfect roommate. Derek is kind, keeps his clothes on in the shared areas of the house, and doesn’t complain about the house’s draft. The only problem? Harrison might have developed a bit of a crush on the alpha.
After Harrison accidentally sends Derek one of his ‘work videos’, their relationship changes forever. Can this new relationship stand up to Harrison joining Studio C? And can Derek learn to accept his own desires or will he panic and push Harrison away?
Watching Me is book one in the Studio C series featuring an alpha and beta roommates to lovers, a loveable camboy, an alpha looking for where he belongs, and accepting one’s desires. This 27k omegaverse story doesn’t have mpreg but does have a happily ever after.
REVIEW:
New book by a new-to-me author.
Harrison is a beta camboy and has a wee bit of a crush on his newest roommate Derek. Derek is enamored with his roommate too but doesn’t want to ruffle any feathers because really likes Harrison as a friend and enjoys where he is living. When Harrison inadvertently sends his newest video to Derek instead of to his client the cat’s out of the bag for why he heads to bed so early each night. But will this finally be the thing that makes these two men speak their feelings or is this the end of their friendship and being roommates?
This was a cute, short friends-to-mates story that included Harrison and Derek’s story but also served as an introduction to all the members of Studio C – a new start up porn studio. It is based in an omegaverse setting.
Although I like both men I can’t say that I fell in love with them. They were both cute and sweet but, to tell the truth, I got a bit tired of hearing about Harrison’s lemony scent and Derek’s cedarwood one. I did like that Harrison owned who he was and what he did and Derek was accepting of all of it. Harrison did seem more sure of himself while Derek seemed to have a bit of trouble accepting that it was okay to like what he liked and still be an alpha.
I did actually laugh out loud when Derek met both of Harrison’s new bosses. It was super hilarious! I also like how the author resolved Derek’s future employment dilemma after he graduated. It was the perfect fit.
Looking forward to Gunther’s story next that is promised to have mpreg in it.
