One believes in justice, the second loyalty, and the third desperately seeks a reason to live. All three, however, share the same final end game; Retribution.
The hunt begins.
REVIEW:
If you have not read the other books in this series, you really need to. You will be horribly lost if you don’t and there are so many details that need to be known. Also, if you haven’t read this series, this is not a romance. By any means. It’s part horror, part thriller and the bad guys in this are sick af. There are some scenes in here that could trigger some: rape, torture, murder, pedophilia to name a few. So please be careful.
Having said that, I’ve been waiting for this book to come out. Seriously waiting. I knew this one was going to be intense from the way the last one ended. There were too many variables, too many things left undone, and some things that needed to be explained. And I have to say, I was NOT disappointed. I friggin loved this book. I have loved this series from the start. It is NOT for the faint of heart, believe me. But what Kristoffer writes, it’s more than worth it. It is a story that takes you to the bowels of he** and back, but leaves you wanting more. Wanting to see who’s going to make it. What it’s going to take this time. How are they going to fix it.
I don’t know if there are plans to make another book in this series, but there’s plenty of set up for another. There’s a few little snippets of things said or done that make you wonder….either way, yay or nay, I’m ecstatic about how this book turned out. It broke my heart with what happened. I knew it was going to be brought back up in this one, so I was more prepared but it was still tough to read. But to think that one little boy made such an impact on so many lives at such a young age that many years later, they’re still determined to make those who hurt him pay for what they’ve done.
It’s amazing the connections that everyone has. I love it. It’s horrible how they all had to meet in their lives, but for this, it was for a reason. They all needed to be where they were and have gone through what they have for a reason. Doesn’t mean hunting sadistic, messed up killers is fun. Just saying. But it makes for a great story.
I can’t recommend this series enough. Like I said. Not for the faint of heart but worth it on so many levels. I’m glad I got the chance to read it and be a part of it’s journey.
