I stuffed my phone in my pocket with a smile as I looked out into the busy festival. My muscles became taut when I spotted a familiar face that didn’t fit this setting. Leroy. Questions about why he was here buzzed in my brain. I hoped to hell he kept on walking. He didn’t. Holding back my groan, I remained stoic when his eyes lit up and he all but danced his boney ass over to me.
