Finally.
Grant finally found his boy, and Elliot finally had his Daddy—age gap be damned. They were together. They were happy. And their chemistry was explosive—it was more than enough for both of them.
Since meeting Grant, everything had been a whirlwind for Elliot. They were both juggling busy work schedules—Grant was wrapped up in finals at the University, and Elliot was consumed with ballet. But they were making it work, still making time for each other and exploring their new dynamic.
Everything seemed perfect.
Perfect—until Elliot’s ballet career takes an unexpected turn that reveals the fragility of their new relationship. Add in a startling revelation about Elliot’s dire financial situation, and everything Elliot thought he knew about himself and where he belongs is turned upside down.
Elliot is faced with some big decisions—decisions that could change the direction of his life forever.
Decisions that only he can make.
As far as Grant is concerned, everything comes down to what is best for his boy—but how much is Grant willing to sacrifice for Elliot’s happiness? He wants to give Elliot everything—but he knows that isn’t always the right answer. And is he starting to build a life with Elliot just to have everything ripped away once again?
Are they just playing house, or are they finding their home?
Finding His Home is the second book in a duet taking place in the Safe Harbor universe and should be read in order. This book is a 90+K word slow burn, steamy romance that features a Daddy/boy relationship between two consenting adult men. No age play. Dual POV. There are explicit descriptions of sexual acts, so this book is intended for a mature audience (18+).
TW: Mention of sexual assault, mention of drug use.
REVIEW:
I am so glad the author wrote the second book. It answered many of my lingering questions in the first book.
Grant and Elliot are still new lovers to each other, less than a month into their new relationship, but they have moved forward and learned more than most couples have in a year. And now that they have established this new relationship they are trying to navigate through both their schedules and their needs. But can Grant fully trust Elliot to not tear his heart out? Elliot is only 18, and Grant discovers, and a truly gifted and amazingly talented ballet dancer. And can Elliot trust Grant to truly give his heart to him after what he went through with is last boy?
This book answered many of my questions I had in the first book. It’s important to remember that these two books happen in a very short time frame. They start their true romantic relationship over Thanksgiving and this book is basically up to Christmas for most of it. That’s literally a month and Elliot goes from an inexperienced 18 year-old virgin that can’t even use a butt plug to full on , sometimes rough, sex. That makes even my head spin! What happened to taking things slow?!?! But I loved how these two men finally learned to trust and communicate. They craved what the other offered and complimented each other’s needs perfectly. And I especially loved when Grand safeworded. I love when a dominate feels safe to call Red when things spiral out of their comfort zone too. It’s rare that I have read it happening but it’s a great sign in their relationship. It means that you can truly trust your partner to be safe and honest.
I was thrilled to get the answers I needed on Elliot’s Dad’s estate. And then I was steaming mad at what Elliot had to go through because of that slime-ball lazy attorney that literally took his money and ran without any regard to how a 16 year-old child was suppose to survive! And the facts that Damon uncovered were shocking. I still need to know what happens with that.
I know that we got a huge amount of information in these two books and I want Kyle’s (and his hilariously inappropriate Grandma) story. And definitely Sawyer’s. I even want to known more about Aarik even though I really want to hate him but thinks he needs as much love as Elliot did. And I know the author said she plans more books in the Safe Harbor Universe. But I still need more answers on Elliot and what happens next.
All in all I loved both these men, their duet books (you definitely need to read book one before book two!) and this new series. Highly recommend this new author. Her writing is marvelous and a great read! I hope the next book is out soon!!!
