As I opened my eyes, I brought my glass down, and a little drop of liquor slid down my chin. Monroe’s eyes tracked its path, and before I could lift my hand to wipe it away, his thumb swiped it off my warm skin.
I sat there, frozen. What the hell was that? Blinking, I glanced around the bar, but nobody was paying any attention to the man who’d just wiped tequila off my face with his thumb.
Since I was a glutton for punishment, I looked over at him. He was smirking at me. Smirking. All I could do was stare in fascination as he took the thumb that was still wet and popped it into his mouth.
Jesus Christ. My cock twitched in my jeans. I didn’t know what was happening, but I felt really hot and confused… and hot. I needed to get out of there.
I jumped off the stool before my damn erection got any bigger and I embarrassed myself further. I threw some money down on the bar to tip the bartender. “I think I’m going to head out. Thanks for the shot.” My voice was husky and deep.
Monroe picked up his drink and downed the rest of it before standing up beside me. He was maybe an inch or two shorter than I was, but I was a really big dude. He was leaner than me, and I wondered what he was hiding under his gray t-shirt. His tight gray t-shirt.
Damn it. What was I even thinking?
“I’ll walk you out.” He moved past me to the exit, the faint woodsy scent of him making me want to bury my head in the crook of his neck and breathe it in.
“Kalen? You almost forgot your card.” The bartender interrupted the tequila-fueled fantasy my brain had concocted, and I pocketed the card before signing the receipt.
I’d been so caught up in Monroe, I’d forgotten I even had a tab open. Or was I drunk? If not, I was certainly on the wrong side of sober.
I turned to find Monroe waiting with his hand on the door handle. His eyes slowly traveled down my body before he opened the door, gesturing for me to walk out in front of him.
Who the fuck was this guy, and why did my cock like him?
