BLURB:
Grayson Valins should have the world at his feet. Born to one of the wealthiest families in Seattle, Grayson was raised exactly as a Valins heir should be: sharp as a tack, witty, charming, and powerful.
He was the ideal son—until he presented as an Omega.
Now he’s barely holding on to the threads of his father’s empire, watching the vultures circling overhead. If he makes a mistake with the Felder and Sons merger and acquisition, it’s game over.
If he doesn’t get married, either… that’s just as bad.
Zack Felder’s in over his head. After the tragic death of his older brother, Zack has no choice but to put his music career on hold and head back home to handle the family’s affairs. The family business is drowning, and Zack isn’t sure what to do.
So, when the older and wildly attractive Grayson Valins offers him a deal—a fake marriage in exchange for saving his family’s legacy—how could Zack ever deny that?
But what happens when emotions get tangled and a good business deal turns into something much more potent?
Omegas in Power is a stand-alone HEA 72,000 word novel with a buff, snarky omega businessman and a sensitive, passionate alpha musician. Warnings for mentions of off-screen child abuse and grief.
REVIEW:
I got talked into trying Omega-verse books by a friend that is an author I totally respect. Little did I know the rabbit hole I was going down. So thankful I did though and found this new-to-me author.
Grayson Valins has had one thing in mind since he presented as an omega…run his fathers company even though he isn’t an alpha. With both his parent’s dead he just has to figure out how to make that happen before his much younger and out of control teenage brother presents. Enter into the equation Zack Felder, only surviving son of the Felder and Sons, company that he was acquiring that his father never could. When Grayson’s unfortunate heat and his friend’s sudden labor change plans for the day all Grayson can think about is Zack and his aroma. Now he may just have an idea that might be beneficial to both Zack and himself.
I loved how old world ways can either be very bad (Omegas can’t be businessmen) or very good (there really is a thing like fated mates). Gray and Zack’s journey went through ups and downs but in the end they not only learned to support each other in their chosen dreams but managed to learn to trust the other and fall deeply in love. Something Grayson hadn’t even dreamed of.
I also loved how Zack helped Gray work through his issues with his little brother. He taught him the value of looking deep inside and then to talk about what Lucien and his lives were truly like growing up.
I look forward to the next book in this series and totally recommend this book.
