How many Dirk Greyson titles will release this year?
At this point, Fate’s Attraction is the only Dirk Greyson title for this year. At this point, the publication schedule is such that the lead time from writing to publication is just over a year, so any book I write now, won’t be publishes until Summer of 2022. However the good news is that many people have asked for a follow up of Fate’s Attraction and I am working on plot lines for it in my head.
I am hoping to be able to produce a follow up in the next few months, but I can’t make any promises. It all hinges on my mind latching onto a really good story line. It will happen eventually though, I’m pretty sure. But even I can’t predict these things, so who knows.
Title: Fate’s Attraction
Frankie slowly became more and more aware of himself. His mind was still a stirring mass of disjointed thoughts and feelings, but things were coming back into focus. He was aware that he was in wolf form, but he didn’t have the energy to lift his tail, let alone shift. He cracked his eyes open, but they didn’t want to stay that way. Even looking around took too much energy. He felt as if he was in a fog that kept trying to cover him and pull him back under. Frankie resisted, forcing his eyes to open. He needed to know where he was and what had happened to him.
At least he was warm and not sleeping on the ground.
“Are you awake?” a masculine voice asked quietly.
Frankie couldn’t answer in this form and didn’t have the energy to, even if he could have. All he did was lie there and try to focus on something around him. Why was he here? He kept running all that through his mind. He knew his name but very little else. He tried to remember where he’d been before this and what he’d done to end up in this situation, but his mind was a blank. He recalled very basic things about himself, but that was all.
“Are you thirsty?” Water appeared in front of him, and Frankie used his last reserve of energy to move enough to be able to drink. His throat hurt as the water hit it, but then it soothed and went down. He drank more and then settled his head on the warm bed again. Frankie’s eyes felt heavy once more, so he let them close. There was nothing more he could do. Even drinking that little bit of water had worn him out.
“I’m here and you aren’t alone.” A hand touched his head, caressing him gently, reassuring him that everything was indeed going to be okay.
Victor…. The name flashed through his mind, and he snapped his eyes open again. Where was Victor? He didn’t hear him crying or fussing. Agitation ran through him and he lifted his head, listening. He tried scenting, but everything was so muddled that he couldn’t process much. Frankie shook, which drained him of even more energy. He was helpless, and so was Victor. He needed to find him. Was he still back at the cave? How long had he been here? Was Victor even still alive? Frankie had no idea. His breathing became faster, and he panted, trying to get off the bed. He needed to find him, to get back to him.
