Dear Santa,
I know I haven’t exactly been a good boy this year, and I deserve nothing but coal in my stocking
.
But, unlike some people I know, I don’t wait until the Christmas holiday to bring pleasure to men. That has to count as something nice, right?
I’m tired of being with men who always leave so I’m asking for something a bit different. Something I’m afraid of wanting. Please Santa, help me find a Daddy who will love me.
Cheeky_Bottom
Down on his luck rancher, Lawson is in no position to be in a relationship when he’s one late mortgage payment away from losing his spread. He definitely should not want the high maintenance stripper Cheeky_Bottom who’s looking for love from a Daddy. Been there. Done that. And he has the debt to show for it.
“Possessions over people” has always been Opie’s mission statement in life. His possessions remain as long as he takes care of them, but people always leave. When he meets a mysterious rancher online, Opie has a feeling things were about to change. Has Opie finally found the Daddy he won’t let walk away this time?
Dear Daddy, Please Love Me is part of the Naughty or Nice multi-author series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there are so many boys hoping that holiday magic will bring them their perfect Daddy, why not grab them all?
REVIEW:
Why oh why did I wait so long to start this series? I knew I was a sucker for a good Daddy book and this was wonderful. Even though it’s based in the Christmas season I think this book is more of a Daddy book than the reference to the season.
Opie, he thinks his long-lost mother who abandoned him as a newborn wanted to Name him Opium but the hospital frowned on that, has issues with people actually loving and keeping him so he collects his “treasures” from his many suitors. The only person he truly trusts is his BFF and roommate Maddy who took him in off the streets and has remained loyal every since. But now that his last Daddy has dumped him for one of his fellow strippers from the club he goes searching for a new one on his favorite app. There he finds a new gimmick for finding what he wants. When he discovers Lawson he can’t let it go.
I fell for Lawson immediately. Hearing his story of how his rich, homophobic parents tossed him to his grandfather as a teen was hard enough. But how his disgusting ex-husband literally robbed him blind was deplorable. That man couldn’t seem to catch a break. If it wasn’t for his buddy Cole I don’t know what the worn-down rancher would have done. He needed a boy something fierce but he knew good and well he was in no place to look for a boy let alone be able to keep him like a good daddy is suppose to.
Opie needs love more than all the treasures he has accumulated over the last several years. He has amassed a lot of things except for the one thing the boy truly needed…love and commitment. Those are things he finally sees in Law but isn’t sure how to convince him that’s what he truly wants and needs.
Although I saw a lot of growth in Opie I loved that he still managed to keep his bratty side and spunkiness that drew him to Law. But his true heart shone through in the end and it was a wonderful thing to witness.
This book is part of the Naughty or Nice multi-author series. They are all stand-alones with the same Dear Santa letter as a lead-off. Hope you enjoy Law and Opie as much as I did!
