Louisa Masters started reading romance much earlier than her mother thought she should. While other teenagers were sneaking out of the house, Louisa was working out how to read romance novels without being discovered. As an adult, she feeds her addiction in every spare second, only occasionally tearing herself away to do things like answer the phone and pay bills. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, where she whines about the weather for most of the year while secretly admitting she’ll probably never move.

When I was about 12 or 13, we got a box of books from someone and one of them had a woman falling for her female babysitter.
I read Love Slave for Two by Tymber Dalton which was my first MM scenes which I enjoyed. So took a chance on an MM book; read Save the Date by Annabeth Albert. Have been hooked ever since
It was a scene in Judith Krantz’s I’LL TAKE MANHATTAN, where photographer Justin is doing a swimsuit shoot where shaggy-haired, impish (and eventually evil, damn) male model Jon splashes water on all the female bikini models. After the shoot, he waits till everyone else leaves, and corners Justin with a very effective speech (the gist: I’m gay, I know you are too, I’m more aroused than I’ve ever been, and so are you)…but then it faded to black! Even as a young teen in the era before fanfic and m/m, I was so disappointed it didn’t proceed…
It was in a series featuring a motorcycle club and one of the members had a moment with a prospect. A few books later when they got their own book started me on my MM journey of which I’ve never looked back. The MM book was Hellbent by Sara Rayne.
Demons Do It Better
my first mm book was always by kindle alexander and that whole book was excellent-makes you fall in love with finding your soulmate and never giving up on love
Pretty sure it was in Like Coffee and Doughnuts – the POV MC, who prior to this book identified as straight, walks in on his best friend screwing another guy. Loved this book 🙂
My first book was Good-Time Boys by Carol Lynne I loved everything about it and have been hooked on m/m ever since.
A scene rom one of the Anita Blake books where Jean-Claude and Asher FINALLY get to make love once Anita gets over herself enough to allow her men there time together – so hot!
I went back through my kindle purchases and found ‘Collide (Blackcreek Book)
by Riley Hart. I read it in 2014 and haven’t looked back!
Both Louisa and Davidson are fantastic so I’d be excited about either book.
I remember loving the Blackcreek books!
The first one I can really remember was while reading The Angel by Tiffany Reisz, I absolutely loved Griff and Mick
Change of Heart by Mary Calmes when Jin saves Daphne and there starts all his trouble and being forced to meet Logan
Him by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy; their first kiss was soo hot, #WesJamie forever!
The first Adrien English book by Josh Lanyon
My first was Fatal Shadows by Josh Lanyon… I remember that first kiss, at the endo of the book…
A Signed paperback of Demons Do It Better ( international) by Louisa Masters
I think my first book was a bit dark Jagged Edge by Jo Raven. I can’t remember a particular scene all the scenes with or without Jason and Raine are riveting so the whole book!. I’ve just checked on my Goodreads and my stars and review are missing and I defo wrote one. If nothing else I’m off to re read it. There have been many books since then.
I’d love Davison King’s New Tricks signed paperback
My Fair Captain by JL Langley. It was one of those recommendations, if you liked ___ you will like My Fair Captain. I read the blurb, a space captain and a prince….wait…2 guys? Huh?? I decided to try it, and my reading world was changed.
I would love either of these prizes. Thanks!
can’t remember
Not Commenting for the prize entry but… The first M/M scene that I encountered in my reading was a very vaguely described scene in John Jakes Book The Rebels ca 1976 One of the family being followed in that saga was in the navy and molested by an “evil” officer. Fortunately that same summer I stumbled across a copy of Patricia Nell Warren’s The Front Runner. Leave it to a woman to write some of the best & earliest M/M fiction I was ever exposed to.
I remember Trouble and Her Friends by Melissa Scott having a lesbian scene waaaaay back in the 90s when I read it.
