You will know Eden Winters by her distinctive white plumage and exuberant cry of “Hey, y’all!” in a Southern US drawl so thick it renders even the simplest of words unrecognizable. Watch out, she hugs!
Driven by insatiable curiosity, she possibly holds the world’s record for curriculum changes to the point that she’s never quite earned a degree but is a force to be reckoned with at Trivial Pursuit.
She’s trudged down hallways with police detectives, learned to disarm knife-wielding bad guys, and witnessed the correct way to blow doors off buildings. Her e-mail contains various snippets of forensic wisdom, such as “What would a dead body left in a Mexican drug tunnel look like after six months?” In the process of her adventures she has written twenty-four gay romance novels, won several Rainbow Awards, was a Lambda Awards Finalist, and lives in terror of authorities showing up at her door to question her Internet searches.
When not putting characters in dangerous situations she’s a mild-mannered businesswoman, mother, grandmother, vegetarian, and PFLAG activist.
Her natural habitats are airports, coffee shops, and the backs of motorcycles.
I love the fact that I cannot compare since I’m female!
I like that there’s a greater scope of men involved (not just the annoying alpha males so prevalent in m/f romance), and more variety in the scenarios where they find their HEAs!
i love the emotions you get in a m/m story..you dont really see them in m/f
The passion, the storylines and the overall love I get whenever I read an MM romance makes it more appealing and endearing. I would appreciate an audio code of Winter’s Knight by Mary Calmes.
I love the equality of m/m, and that the romance is more like my life. In so much m/f its all credit cards and high heels and the guy is always the prize. I can’t relate to that.
characters, either
What I like the best is the genuine angst they face…that can be as early as while they are small children and discover ‘they are not like the other boys.’ I love how they come to accept themselves and grow stronger. I love how sometimes they find, or build, the ‘real’ family they really are members of. I love that the HEA’s are more than just a joining of love, but a joining of livers.
The details and emotional impact you get that you don’t normally get in other stories.
The vulnerability of being in a relationship (or working toward one), the delving into diverse backgrounds, and the characters seem to banter back and forth so quickly and fluidly!
I like that it more lifelike at times raw,and imparts information at the same time.
I like seeing the relationships that are caring and what they do for each other. I feel the stories in many ways are more realistic.
I like m/m stories because I can see the whole story and enjoy it more rather than put myself in the female role and see the story from that perspective.
I would like Eden Winters audiobooks
It is the intensity of the feelings what has always drawn me from the beginning… all that strength and passion
Audible codes for Consorts of the Red King by Eden Winters
I love how they can be tough but also have a softer side. I would like Eden Winters audiobook.
I like that the people are usually considered equals and are written as such. They can be much more diverse characters with multiple aspects. MF romance often has an obvious divide between male/female that just got old with me over time.
