REVIEW:
This is the 7th book in this series and centers on Collins and Costa. I must admit that Collins was the last person I expected to ever find his love because he wasn’t a nice guy by any stretch of the imagination (see Alpha Valentine # 4). I would go as far to say that he was an a$$ of the highest order.
Even though the main MC is Costa, my focus zeroed in on Collins because he was a detestable, obnoxious a$$ when first introduced. But that fascinated me the most about him.
But as the series progressed, you began to see the real man behind the disagreeable façade and once he was given a second chance, you begin to see that he’s not so bad. The problem is, The Agency still hold his previous bad acts against his entire team, him specifically.
So Costa and Collins take a vacation to unwind and to deepen their relationship. But as usual, nothing goes smoothly for this team.
This book, like the others in the series brings these strong and confident men together. Action and adventure ensues to ensure the reader is taken on an enjoyable journey.
The book was well paced, the characters and storylines are consistent. The writing style is nice and concise. Although there is a it of mystery involved in these stories, the pace is always moving and it all comes to a head in good time. I like that the author doesn’t drag it out with unnecessary plot twists and turns.
I definitely recommend this series. It’s well written and worth the read
