Call and Alpha have settled comfortably into their carefree lives nestled in the mountains of South Carolina. No more combat for the commander, and no more ordered killings for the deadliest assassin in the world.
However, nothing stays peaceful forever.
When Alpha’s brother Omega comes to their secluded home with a distressing message from their order, Alpha has to answer the call. But what neither of them expect is for the order to send them a new assassin, one just as deadly as both of them, to seek their counsel and bring them back Persia.
Lion’s commanding presence was not at all what any of them anticipated. Especially Omega. Lion realizes what Omega is to him right away, but the stubborn man fights his every advance. Lion knows he and Omega have to connect if they’re going to be victorious. He was sent to bring back an army, but if he can’t get his cherished to yield to him, they are sure to fail.
REVIEW:
This is the third book in the Blue Moon series by Ms. A. E. Via, Blue Moon III: Call of the Alpha. We have followed this group of men in their deadly adventures and unlikely pairings and this installment will tell us what life is like two years after they did their last mission together, and most of The Beastmasters decided to go into retirement.
Alpha and Call are now committed to each other, building a life together. Likewise, Hawk and Pearce have also decided to have a quiet life after all the missions and near-death experiences they had to go through. Meanwhile, Omega has decided to stay in the US as well to be close to his Alpha, who is his brother. But life is not the same for him anymore, he feels like he is still supposed to be an Assassin. He feels like he is not done yet, not by a long shot. He feels restless and unwanted. He feels alone now that his Alpha is happily building a life with his cherished. Then it happens, someone from their Order wants to meet with Alpha. He says that it is so important, a between-life-and-death situation that needs to be handled as soon as possible. He relayed the message to Alpha and was instructed to bring this Assassin to his and Call’s residence.
Lion is desperate, there is an evil at work inside the Order, and missions are failing due to that evil. Also, funds have been stolen from their accounts. He guessed this is to fund whatever treacherous activities this traitor has planned. He has no other choice but to seek Alpha and asked for his assistance, as instructed by the Elders of the Order. As one Assassin to another, trust was not gained immediately. There were a lot of questions that needed to be answered and afterwards, plans to be executed. It has been decided that they will be going home to settle and flush out the traitors.
Of course, Call will not allow Alpha to go alone, and after Hawk agrees to go with them (he has foreseen this particular mission months before), they contacted Viper to be their technical man. So with Lion and Omega, they started to wait for Viper who’s still gathering the equipment they will be needing for the mission.
Lion is Omega’s fated. He realized it when he heard his voice over the phone. But Omega does not want to believe this. In order for the mission to go smoothly, they all have to be of one mind and trust each other explicitly. Lion has his work cut out for him.
Omega/Eriktor has always been stubborn, hard-headed and rude at times. When Lion/Firuz told him, after sometime, that they are destined to be together, of course, he refused to believe it. It is in his nature. He has only trusted his Alpha/Shaun fully but of course, as his older brother and Alpha, they have had years together since, going and executing their missions successfully, one after another. When Alpha decided to retire and live a quiet life and full of love, Omega was left in limbo. What if this new Alpha, who claims to be his beloved does the same thing, leave him after, he thinks he will not be able to handle it again. His heart is finally going to break without any hope of healing.
A story of finding oneself, entrusting oneself to someone who promised to take care of him and promising to love him for eternity. People will always seek for that special someone who will be there for them, no matter what happens. But sometimes when we have experienced losing that someone, we are reluctant to entrust our heart again. A story of fated mates, of forging a future with someone you have learned to love and trust, which is the ultimate show of how much you trust someone, putting your life in their hands.
I will miss these men, they have taken me on an adrenaline-full wild ride of adventure and love. Ms. A.E. Via has done an amazing job in creating their stories, she has created amazing characters who are perfectly imperfect! Mr. Tim Paige has outdone himself, as usual. I mean, voicing over all these Alpha males can be very challenging but he did it! He was able to voice the strength, anger, vulnerability and love among all these characters, just amazingly. Thank you to the both of you, Ms. Via and Mr. Paige, you have made this adventure something I will never forget.
