BLURB:
Two hot roommates, minus clothes, plus a drawer full of debauchery, and a WHOLE lot of tension. You don’t have to be a math genius to figure out the sum of that equation.
They say I’m a super genius, but would a super genius make the outrageously stupid mistake of falling for his roommate?
Out of all the men in the world, I had to go and develop a crush on the one who’s already in love with his best friend.
But when Theo tells me he found my drawer of toys, the only logical thing to do is to offer some no-strings fun.
I’ve read enough romance novels to know this can’t possibly end well, but I can’t seem to stop myself from falling for Theo.
The only question is…
Will he be there to catch me?
REVIEW:
This is the third book in the Love Logic series of books. We met Elijah and Pax in the first book, Rocket Science. We met Riot, Hudson, Bishop and Leo in the second book, Four Letter Word. In this book, the story will be about Theo, Pax’s younger brother and Elijah’s best friend and Alex, Elijah’s best friend when he started his PhD in California, and now apparently, Theo’s roommate.
Theo has been in love with his best friend, Elijah, for a long long time. When Elijah decided to pursue his Master’s in California, Theo readily asked his older brother to watch out for him. He knew that Elijah had been crushing on his brother since they were young, so it didn’t really surprised him when they started seeing each other and became a couple. Meanwhile, his loneliness has been getting worst since Elijah left. But it is not just the surface-level form of loneliness, it’s bone-deep, he can’t get rid of it even if he is also now in California and can see both his best friend and older brother from time to time. He has also decided to pursue his PhD in Psychology in California after a year of being alone in New York.
Alex has always done what his parents told him to do. He studies hard, he is in fact a Genius. But being a genius is not what it is cut out to be. People around him change how they treat him when they learn that he is so smart. So most of the time, he downplays everything and he can’t help but be sad and disappointed whenever his smartness is being brought up. He and Elijah had been in the same classes since Elijah moved from New York. When Theo was looking for a roommate, he readily jumped at the opportunity. Alex has been into hookups for as long as he can remember, deeming it better than starting any relationship that can only end bad when they learn how smart he is. But he longs for a relationship that resembles that of Elijah and Pax, honest and true. And he also longs for the chance to help young people learn to love Math. He feels most fulfilled when he is helping the kids in the youth center with their homework, especially with math.
Theo and Alex are very smart young men, they each have their own ways of coping with loneliness. And they have their own hang-ups and worries. The fact that they are both attracted to each other but worries that it might change everything between them is also a fact that they are now both ready for a serious type of relationship that comes with commitment.
I have always love Ms. K.M. Neuhold’s characters, they are smart, adorable and sassy. But they are also, sometimes, slow on the uptake when it comes to feelings and communicating them. Just like you and me, well maybe not the smartness but definitely the feelings part. If you have been reading books from Ms. Neuhold, then you will love and adore Theo and Alex!
