REVIEW:
This was a pretty good book, especially paranormal wise. I wish I could do what Jasper does. Think of the money you could save lol. You have to read to find out. But what I loved about this story was more toward the end. For two reasons. One, Finn proved he was worthy no matter what Jasper’s parents say. He more than proved it. And for Jasper, that meant everything. And two, at the end and I won’t describe in detail to give anything away, but it shows what a real relationship is all about. The good, the bad and the ugly. And for that, it made me appreciate this story so much more.
Life isn’t all sunshine and roses. And this story packs a whopper of how life can be knocked out from under your feet in an instant. It also shows how you have to look inside yourself and see who you really are. Find yourself, what makes you happy. What life is supposed to be for you. Not someone else. And it’s not easy. When there are extenuating circumstances, maybe kids involved, or who knows. There’s always something somewhere that trips us up along the way to where maybe the life we wanted, isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I know it’s true in my own life. And in this, Jasper had to find what he needed to free himself. But he had to find it. No one else could do it for him. He had to find what would make life worth living for himself. And Finn had to learn some things himself. And learning money isn’t everything, was one of them. Now Finn’s was easier to learn because he hated the way his family acted now that they had money. It disgusted him. And the way others acted as well. Like people were beneath them. So when things changed for Jasper and Finn both, they had to learn life is a whole lot different in ways they didn’t know of.
And even though it was hard, they learned to rely on each other as well. Insecurities and all. And that wasn’t easy either.
It’s a good story. Lots of life lessons in it, but a good love story as well.
