In a world turned hostile, safety always comes at a price.
Zed and Blake’s perilous journey may have ended in sanctuary, but outside forces are set to shatter their newfound peace. Past mistakes have taught Zed that nothing matters more than keeping Blake alive. And that’s exactly what he intends to do, no matter how high the personal cost.
Zed’s actions leave Blake with an impossible choice. Give up the man he loves, or embark on a journey into the unknown. A journey which will make the last one seem like child’s play.
Both men are about to face their toughest test yet. Unless Blake can find a way to overcome the odds, everything they’ve faced so far could have been for nothing.
Love could be light years away.
REVIEW:
This has been a really good set of books. You definitely need to read book 1 first of you will be totally lost. This one picks up where book 2 left off.
I was surprised by this one. In many ways. After being together for 3 years, Zed still has so many things he keeps hidden and in the end, it’s almost cost him everything. I knew there was more to Zed than was being led to believe. I knew there was more to all of them to be honest. Even Lauren. Who always seemed so ditzy and out of it. But she was a smart cookie after all.
I hate what they had to go through in this book though. It puts a strain on any relationship. Even as friends it would be hard, but knowing this is your love, your life, it makes things all that much harder. Zed should have been allowed to be free to be himself. I hate the way they trained these soldiers up. No feelings, no emotion, just blindly follow the leader. Like sheep. And that Zed dared to be different, was amazing. And totally uncalled for that he be basically put to death for it. Kind of makes me think of the book 1984, I think it is. Where everyone is the same as everyone else. No one dares think outside the box. It would be a dull life.
This is definitely a nail biter. You wonder if they are going to make it and what’s going to happen next. But it’s so worth it. I hope you guys enjoy these books as much as I have.
