When you see the world through the eyes of a child, there’s magic everywhere.
And crumbs. Lots of crumbs…
But that’s not going to stop Mike and Bryn Kneller from traveling with their nephew Liam at their side. Not that deciding to take the lad to visit Bryn’s homeland was an easy decision for the two recently wedded men despite how much they adore the boy. This trip was supposed to be a romantic anniversary trip after all.
However, life, as it does, tends to lead us down a path of its own choosing. Combining an unexpected announcement from a family member with the not-so-subtle pleadings of Bryn’s parents, the decision was made. With lots of hand sanitizer and a heaping helping of patience, the journey begins, leading Bryn and Mike to discover a great deal about themselves, their marriage, and their plans for the future.
I’m so thrilled to be visiting Love Bytes again for the release of the next book in the According to Liam series! This time around Mike and Bryn are setting out to see the world with their beloved nephew at their side. This book is full of family, romance, travel, laughter, and love. The perfect pick-me-up for readers! I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I did writing it.
Hugs

Thankfully, most of the people on board were enchanted with him. His excitement was catching, even I felt a little giddy when we began to slowly roll away from the jet bridge. I glanced over to ensure Liam was still buckled in. He was. His green eyes were wide as dinner plates, his cheeks flushed with excitement. He pawed around in the front of his shorts. Looking for Cap no doubt. Poor Steve was probably wedged into the kid’s butt crack by now. Not a very fitting place for Captain America to travel if you ask me.
I checked on our passports in my shoulder bag aka man purse for the four thousandth time. It was part of a recurring fear of losing our passports and/or missing a plane that I traveled with. My mother had passed that on to me. Anytime we traveled as kids she was constantly checking on our passports, boarding passes, train tickets. Who knew that neuroses were contagious? I felt bad for any poor child Bryn and I would have. They were doomed to a lifetime of fretting and tidying.
Liam fidgeted and wiggled. I smiled at his antsy exuberance, sending off a final text to Kelly that we were finally on the plane and about to takeoff. She hit me back with a sobbing face and several hearts. Oh, how she had cried when we picked up Liam this morning. The poor pregnant thing. We’d promised we’d Zoom or Skype or Facetime every single day, time zone worries aside.
“As soon as we get into the air we’ll find a movie for you to watch,” I whispered to Liam as our attendant walked us through the pre-flight airbag crash instructions.
Liam frowned a bit, digging at his crotch. “My belt is pinching my penis.” He began fiddling with his belt. I reached over to touch his arm.
“Do not unbuckle your belt. You have to stay buckled up until the pilot tells us otherwise.”
“But my penis is pinched!”
Mandy’s brown eyes flared as she worked very hard not to laugh out loud.
I could feel my face warming. “No, it’s not. Your penis is fine. The belt’s not even close to your penis. How about you watch out the window. We’re going to takeoff soon. Then the earth will fall away, and we’ll be in the clouds!”
“Like Falcon?” That seemed to get his mind off his penis.
“Yep, just like Falcon and Iron Man. Maybe if you took Cap out of your pants your penis wouldn’t feel pinched?”
“Is there a reason that his penis is being discussed so loudly?” Bryn asked to my right. I threw him a look. “What? I’m just wondering. Can’t the boy speak less loudly about his genitals?”
