Willowhope Manor is the second book in the Beyond the Realm series and is a standalone story. I loved this story. What happens when you want to start your life over, some place else… Well, Chance is looking to do that very thing. He encounters a child that sparks his interest in the Willowhope Manor. But without doing a lot of research into the manor, he buys it and sets about restoring the manor, in hopes of reopening it as Bed and Breakfast. On his first day of owner ship, he is given dire instructions on leaving the house unchanged and leaving one room in particular unopened. Well, Chance is not good at heeding the warnings and sets out to restore the manor. He hires Jett, to accomplish his mission. Jett has to be the hottest handyman in existence, according to Chance. They attraction grows along with the unexplained events occurring, throughout the house. Ghosts and hauntings become more frequent and intense as the men, work against the outside forces to finish the house. As they uncover more and more about the history of the house, they cannot deny the attraction that is forming between them.
Sammi weaves a wonderful ghost story, with fantastic worldbuilding and great characterizations. I loved how Sammi is able to incorporate so much detail, area history and resolution in the pages of this book. If you love a great, quick, sweet read that just happens to include ghosts, this is the book for you. If you want to know how Jett and Chance get to their happy ever after, you will need to pick up this story and settle in with some hot chocolate, to await the reveals that occur during this story.
