This book starts off with Toby going for a job interview at the Smith Academy and he’s met with Jed and Nick…it’s AMAZING watching the human fall into this world and how well he actually thrives in this story. Toby is that sweet, young, adorkably nerdy guy that you can’t help but fall for. Toby is that awkward, nerdy kid who graduated high school and college at a young age, so you know he’s awkward around guys and the experiences that he’s had, haven’t been the very best. This is the time for Toby to actually stand up and face his life and make it his!!
Brooks, I still remember Brooks from the first book with young Ollie and I just have to say that I’ve so enjoyed getting to know him better. Brooks is that Handyman that can do just about any and everything. I do so love a handyman…Anywhooo…..Brooks comes into the scene with these two adorable lil girls and he sees and smells Toby for the first time and it was all she wrote for Brooks. I loved how Brooks has this amazing amount of patience when it came to Toby and the girls, Daisy & Marigold….Love Their Names!! I just Absolutely Adored how Brooks really wanted to make Toby see that he’s perfect just the way he is as well as showing him that he’d NEVER, NEVER, EVER be alone again….That he had a pack now and that they would ALWAYS be there for him.
The secondary characters…Ollie…Oh My Lanta…I loved him as a lil guy and I Absolutely Adore Him as a young man!! You get to see so much of that wonderful personality of his and what a Great Friend he is…I do hope that his is the next book…cuz…Macy teased us…Vaughn and Sam showed up and Vaughn really brought home the whole Alpha game and IT WAS GOOD!!! Jed & Nick…cuz….I just Adore Nick…he’s the one whose book I read like 2 weeks straight…I just LOVE NICK!!! Everything about him and these last few books and getting to see and “be” around Nick…makes me so Happy!! Victor & Riggs are around as well and I just adore these two….I’ve read their book once a week since I got the book…I can’t make myself stop…I just SIMPLY LOVE their story and the biggest reason why…Gus-Gus!!! My Bed Bandaa!!! Ok, let’s just get this out of the way…I’m not a kids person and yet, Gus really brought out any mothering instincts that I may have…I’ve just been in Love with a fictional child character…makes me almost want one…then I have a drink of Scotch and it’s all better…JK!!! But seriously…Gus-Gus IS LIFE!! I like that Queen Orfhlaith and Prince Kavalan made an appearace as well as The Lady, Puteri & Hildr…yeah….THAT Bad Bitch Is back and I have to say…Nice….I approve.
I liked that the sexy times didn’t happen for a bit and it was because it actually felt right that they take their time getting there and once they did…good job!!!
So, the only thing you should know is that this is Another AMAZING, WONDERFUL Macy Blake book that still encompasses the Chosen One family and it’s a Great Addition to the Universe and YOU WILL NOT…In Any Way, Shape, or Form…be disappointed.
