My last post for 2020, and I admit I’m not sorry to see the year go (although it ain’t over yet.) This year has shown us some of the worst, and the best, of people. I’ve seen a lot of generosity within the M/M community, including a bunch of sales and free books, as we all turn to reading to get us through those tough moments.
Heading into the holidays, there are all kinds of goodies coming. Smashwords will have their End of Year Sale Dec 18th to Jan 1st. Books from a bunch of authors at 25%, 50%, 75% off and free. I’ll have three novels discounted to free and two at 50% off. I always find good deals there to read. (Do note, some books are epub only on SW, others including mine are in all formats including mobi. Check before you buy. And Smashwords pays authors better than Amazon.) The link should be live Dec 18th – https://www.smashwords.com/shelves/promos
Several authors I enjoy have discounted or free books right now, including ZA Maxfield, Mia West, and Charlie Cochrane. There is a Facebook Group that lists free M/M stories both permanent and on sale – Free MM ebooks – https://www.facebook.com/groups/590240711144307 . And there will be a big Winter Wonderland event coming, with over a hundred new stories from multiple authors as freebies Jan 1 – check your favorite author’s newsletter or online sites for more details (we’re trying not to promo this one to death with over a hundred authors involved. My story will be a novel, because of course it is.)
I hope you can all find books you love that fit in this year’s tight budget.
This year-end also marks a big change for me, as I just got rights back to my remaining pro-published stories. That’s both scary and fun, as I look ahead to rereleasing my Hidden Wolves (with a new book 5) and Life Lessons and more. I’m hoping to discount some of these books to make them more available. New covers, audio… so much fun on the horizon. (But it does mean if you’re looking in ebook, you may not find some of my most popular works until I get them back out.)
I’m hoping to come out of 2020 looking forward, with plans, and enthusiasm. I wish the same for all of you. Stay safe, tell folks that you love them, and may next year bring good things to you all.
