Tyler
This holiday season I have it all.
An amazing career. A growing bunch of family and friends.
A fiancé.
A man who makes my life merry and bright.
Chance has made all of my snowflake wishes come true, and to thank him, I’ve created the perfect gift… here’s hoping I can keep the secret until Christmas morning. Even if his taste in music has become… questionable… I’m certain this is going to be the best holiday ever.
Chance
Tyler has spent years lacking all the good tidings and joy a big family can bring to the Christmas season. That doesn’t mean he’s never wished for it.
I see him watching those sappy movies with families rockin’ around the Christmas tree. I see the longing in his pine colored eyes for yuletide cheer.
The big man in red ain’t got nothin’ on me, because this year I’m determined to give him the mother of all gifts to make this Christmas the best one yet.
REVIEW:
Sometimes you follow a series because you simply love the characters. Christmas Carols is one that I’m glad to see the happy couple once again. While the first book didn’t have much momentum in regards to plot, the characters themselves helped buoy the story. And now we get to see them plan their first Christmas as a couple, which is an exciting dynamic.
We get to revisit all the main players from the first – the happy couple, Tyler’s friends, and Chance’s family – his sister, brother-in-law, and two adorable boys. Tyler is still as quirky as ever with his hilarious choice of clothes – and just reading what his shirts say each day during the holiday season is almost worth it just for that alone. Chance continues to the be the stand up guy, going the extra mile for everyone he knows. Man has a heart of gold.
We get to experience Christmas through all their eyes. There’s secrets galore, but all for the greater good. This time the tie in to music isn’t so forced and it actually helps move the story along. We get to see life as it carries on and the couple is getting much more comfortable with each other. Occasionally sappy, but also so much fun – who doesn’t love a good holiday novella and this one foots the bill.
