Love Directions by A.F. Zoelle
A Good Bad Idea Story, Book 5
Elias Forthwright
Can a chance meeting lead to true love? I sure hope so, because I’m falling hard and fast for North. I’m normally too shy to be attracted to a playful flirt like him, but he’s full of surprises that bring out the best in me. Even though we’re nothing alike, he’s everything I never knew I needed.
Maybe it’s silly to feel like the cosmic universe conspired to bring us together, but North makes me want to believe in the impossible. After all, it would be stupid to run away from love when all signs point to him being the one, right?
North Easton
To say I’ve lived a strange life is a massive understatement. I’m used to weird things being the norm, but even I never expected to fall in love with a sweetheart the first time I meet him. Elias makes me feel all warm and gooey inside like a hot brownie. If I get lucky, maybe he’ll want a bite. And if I’m really lucky, he’ll want to come back for seconds, thirds, fourths, and forever.
I know we just met, but is it too soon to plan for a lifetime of canoodling with Elias? Shockingly, I don’t mean that as a euphemism for once.
Love Directions is the fifth book in the Good Bad Idea series. This novel features a shy/flirt, instalove, opposites attract romance. Full of cute sweetness and sexy fun, every story ends with a satisfying HEA and no cliffhangers. Each book can be read as a standalone or as part of the series in order.

Chapter 6: North Easton
He hugged me back, burying his face against my neck as I stroked his white-blond hair. It was even softer than I had imagined it would be. “I’m glad you’re here.”
That made me happy to hear, because it meant I wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon, hopefully. “What do you say to staying up late and getting to know each other a little better?”
Elias pulled back to look at me but didn’t step out of my embrace. “Do you mean we should, um…”
It was cute the way he trailed off with a blush. While my dick was very much interested in hearing him finish his sentence, for once, I wanted to get to know him by talking instead of carnally. “How does curling up on the couch as we ask each other a million questions sound?”
His smile was so radiant that I basked in it like the warmth of the sun. “That would be nice.”
“Good, because I’m dying to know if you prefer hard or squishy cookies.” My heart fluttered like hummingbird wings when he took my hand to lead me into his living room.
“That’s your number one question for me?” he asked with a laugh.
We sat on his navy blue couch together. The area was elegant, while still being comfortable. “If your answer isn’t both, we’re going to be off to a rocky start.”
He rubbed the back of his left hand as he timidly asked, “For the Q&A or for dating?”
I stretched my arm out to wrap around his shoulders and draw him closer to me. “Sorry, it was a bad joke. You could hate cookies and I’d still be thanking my lucky stars that I get to be your boyfriend.”
His radiant smile lit me up inside. Shit, I had it bad for him already, and we were only getting started. I hoped he was prepared for me to love him more than I had loved anything else ever. His cuteness was too much to take, so I leaned in to steal a lingering kiss. It was so tempting to delve in for a taste of him, but I restrained myself to sucking on his lower lip before I released him.
“For the record, I prefer soft cookies over hard, but I love them both,” he answered.
“You really are the perfect boyfriend for me.”
He chuckled at my reaction. “It doesn’t take much to impress you, does it?”
“All you have to do to wow me is to be yourself.”
“Me being neurotic is that appealing to you?”
I flashed my most charming grin. “What can I say? Quirks really get me going.”
“Then that makes you the perfect boyfriend for me.”
“I’m pretty sure that means we’re a match made in Heaven—and I’m not just saying that since your mom seems to be thriving in her new career as a paranormal matchmaker.”
Elias cracked up at my description, which was a relief because I belatedly realized he might not be in a place to joke about her after spending his first birthday without her. “That sounds like something you should write a book about.”
“If I do, she’s totally getting a shout-out in the acknowledgements.” I hugged Elias closer when he nuzzled against me. “Now, using my great powers of the divine, I’m going to guess blue is your favorite color. What’s your second favorite color?”
“Your great powers of the divine can only tell you my first favorite color?”
“Yeah, there’s a $19.99 a month subscription fee to gain insights on secondary and tertiary color preferences, which is a bit steep for my tastes. It amazes most people I can guess their favoritest favorite color and they leave it at that.”
His little giggle was so damn cute. “Fair enough. It’s green, then purple. What are your top three?”
“Blue, red, and rainbow.”
“Rainbow’s not a color—it’s seven.”
“Technically, sure,” I agreed with a shrug. “But when they’re all a gradient blending into each other, rainbow is a single awesome color in my book.”
Elias tapped his chin as he considered what to ask next.

The only relationships I used to be interested in were meaningless hookups with no strings attached. But Callum’s kindness touched a part of my heart I didn’t know existed, changing me forever. Ohhhh, it’s because our arrangement makes me fall in love with him for real. Oops?

I’ve ignored my feelings for Xander so many years that I’m convinced I only love him as a friend. It’s totally a coincidence that thinking of him with his awful ex-boyfriend makes me burn with raging hellfire, right?
