Release Blitz, Exclusive Excerpt & Giveaway: Street of Dreams by Jenna Galicki
The Road to Rocktoberfest, Book 4
One street touched a thousand lives and sent two boys in opposite directions.
For Reid Mackenzie, Street of Dreams offers hope for a better life and a chance to share his music with the world. For Jake King, it reinforces his life of crime and the ties to a city that empowers him.
They were two boys, growing up side by side in the same neighborhood, but their lives couldn’t be more different. Mac comes from a humble Scottish family and dreams of the stage and the day he has enough money to escape Chicago’s South Side. Jake knows he’ll never leave. The impoverished city, and his notorious father, have a hold on him that won’t let go.
Circumstances force them to carry on their relationship in private, until it explodes in the worst way. With the will of a warrior, Jake vows he’ll do whatever he has to in order for them to be together, no matter how brutal the consequences.
This is a story of courage, kilts, and second chances.
Street of Dreams is the fourth book in the multi-author Road to Rocktoberfest series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not stay and enjoy the whole show? If you like scorching tales of hot rock stars and the men who love them, then you’ll adore the untamed musicians of Rocktoberfest!

Jake stripped off his clothes and joined Mac under the spray of hot water. There wasn’t much room in the single shower stall, so they were pressed against one another. He thought about using the upstairs bathroom but preferred the cramped quarters, which necessitated bumping of body parts each time either one of them moved. He watched the water turn Mac’s luscious hair from deep red to almost black cherry. No one in South Side had hair the color of fire, and it had been the first thing Jake had noticed about Mac way back when they were in grade school. Mac turned to face the water, so his muscular back and full length of hair were on display. He braced the palms of his hands on the tile walls on either side of him, widening his wingspan. He lowered his chin, allowing the water to cascade over his head and shoulders like a beautiful waterfall, sending Jake’s heart fluttering in a tailspin. Starting at the back of Mac’s neck, Jake pulled the wet strands of hair into a ponytail and ran his fingers through it. “I remember when your hair didn’t even reach your collar.” Mac wiped the water from his face and turned around. “That was a long time ago.” “We’ve known each other since we were kids, Mac. I know we weren’t close up until recently, but no one knows me better than you. Not even my brothers.” Vulnerability choked Jake, but he pushed himself to speak. “You make me feel safe. No one ever made me feel like that before. I love you for it.” It might have been spray from the shower, but it looked as if Mac teared up. “I love you, Jake. You’re always safe with me.” Strong arms wrapped Jake in a powerful hug that left him raw. There was no reason to feel like he was wearing his heart outside his chest, but, in that moment, he felt as if his insides were exposed. He clung to Mac, tighter than he ever hung onto anyone, and never wanted to let go. Their lips met in a kiss as the water trickled between them, and then something slippery glided over Jake’s lower back and across his buttocks. It was the soap. It traveled up his back and over his shoulder, while his mouth was still engaged in a kiss. “What are you doing?” Jake asked, out of breath and overheated under the hot mist. “I’m washing you. We’re in the shower.” “I know but . . .” “But nothing. Spread your legs and put your hands on the wall.” When Jake didn’t move, Mac raised his auburn brows. “Do it.” “OK.” Unused to being told what to do, a sly smile spread across Jake’s lips before he did as he was told and waited. Mac ran the bar of soap over Jake’s chest and up and down each arm, scrutinizing every inch of flesh as if studying it. He slowly glided the sudsy bar down one of Jake’s legs, then the other. He made Jake turn around, so his back could receive the same treatment. No one had ever washed Jake before. He didn’t even have a memory of being bathed as a child, so this was beyond sensual. It was almost life changing for him. He felt cared for. And loved. It was such an overwhelming feeling that it left him choked up. He turned to face Mac, a baseball still lodged in his throat. “No one ever touched me like this before.”
