Charlie
I’m definitely straight, but when rock god Eli Steele offers me the opportunity of a lifetime in exchange for being his fake husband for a year, I can’t say no. That’s how I find myself sharing a bed – and more than a few kisses – with the lead singer of Blood Money. All I have to do is stay focused on my work and pretend to be in love with him. Easy, right?
Eli
I took a stupid fucking bet and now I have to convince Charlie to fall for me without using mind control. He’s straight, but the bigger problem is that he’s human and I’m not. Once he finds out I’m really a vampire, will he be able to look past my fangs and see what’s in my heart?
REVIEW:
I was captured from the first page! This story was definitely entertaining from the beginning to the end for me. I love vampire stories and I like when stories follow more or less the trational lines of thinking. Such as, the basic nature of the need for blood for survival, the sentivity to the sunlight, ways of erasing memories, the ability to drink and not kill just to name a few.
So the story of Eli and Charlie was very entertaining to read. Eli grown tired of doing the same thing wants a break from touring, hitting up the same dive bars, and not enjoying the lack luster of human blood. So in order to get his wish to go underground he agrees to a bet with one of his band members.
Charlie a humble human stuggling working several jobs has been following Blood Money in hopes of doing a documentary about the band and the members. Just missing the band when he realizes he is at a gay club, he figures he has lost his chance.
But, things turn around when he bumps into Eli and is offered a deal that is rather hard to turn down.
The journey of Eli and Charlie going on this tour under false pretenses was fun, loving, and also a bit dangerous.
When the rocker unveils what he truly is, it soon puts all their lives in danger.
What made the story even more entertaining was how all the other band members aka vampires were cocky, rambous, and loyal.
I hope that the other three get their HEA as well.
