What’s better than having your rock idol, Dagger Drummond be the mentor for your band? Having your band selected as one of the performing acts at the iconic music festival, Rocktoberfest.
My band was about to step onto our first professional stage. We’d more than earned our spot in the lineup. We had the talent and Dagger groomed our stage swagger. All that was left was to wow the socks off of the audience.
It should be easy, except I had major anxiety issues and it’s frowned upon when lead singers collapse on stage from panic attacks. Another detail adding to my anxiety level, I recently fell in love with a man. Imagine that, a straight guy falling for a dude. It’s the stuff stories are made of – and yet it’s my life.
Rocktoberfest was supposed to be fun but our trip turned sour when my guy went AWOL. Now my concentration is shot and my is heart heavy thinking his absence might have more to do with him not wanting to be with me than missing the bus. One way or another, I had to give the performance of my career – regardless of what was going on inside my head or my heart.
Strung Tight is the 1st book in the multi-author Road To Rocktoberfest series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not stay and enjoy the whole show? If you like scorching tales of hot rock stars and the men who love them, then you’ll adore the untamed musicians of Rocktoberfest!
REVIEW:
I knew it was going to take a lot or coaxing and a very special book by an amazing author to bring me out of my self-isolation and retirement. But if there is anyone who could it is the amazing gifted author Ann Lister.
Anyone who has followed my reviews knows that I’m a MAJOR fan of Rock Stars and their stories. These men just do it for me with their oozing sexuality and love for each other.
Fletcher, aka Fletch, has caught the eye of one of Rock’s Greatest front men, Dagger Drummond, lead singer for Black Ice. Dagger has decided to mentor Fletch’s rock band Chaos. And the sky’s the limit for these guys after landing the coveted last spot of the night for the newbie bands on the first night of Rocktoberfest in Nevada! Every thing is going fantastic except one teeny-weenie little part, Fletch suffers from major anxiety and stage fright being in front of crowds and Rocktoberfest is one of the hugest venues of the year for Rock festivals.
How could you not fall for Fletch. He is the sweetest guy and doesn’t want to let his band ages down with his insecurities. When Fletch gets to know Dallas, one of the roadies on their crew, things are confusing and combustible all at once. Fletch knows he’s not the most sexual guy. He’s been with a few girls over the years but nothing earth-shattering. That all changes one starry night when Dallas kisses him. He knows he’s always been straight, had never even questioned it, Dallas’ kiss sets his world on its top and he is now questioning everything. When Dallas’s past and his father Skully start messing with their time together it might just send Fletch over the deep end!
I was so excited to hear about this book. We met Fletch in Fall Again (The Rock Gods book 10) and I was wondering how everything was going with Ryan and Dagger. It was so nice to see glimpses of them and the Guys from Ventura Security. If you are as much of a fan of the Rock Gods and Guarding the Gods series then this is most definitely a Must-Read for you!
