A different kind of thrill spread through Felix’s veins like lava, shoving all thoughts of Jude aside. Well, almost all. Felix let himself briefly imagine the fiery liquid pulling Jude under its current. He pivoted his body toward Rocky. “Show me.”
Rocky shook his head. “We gotta get out of here. He’s coming.”
A loud thud sounded against Felix’s window, making him jump. Rocky only looked annoyed, so Felix had a good idea who stood outside the SUV. He twisted his torso and confirmed Jude was staring at him through the window. His nemesis looked angry, roughed up, and so fucking hot. Felix turned back around to Rocky. “Ignore him. I’ll run over his foot.”
“He wasn’t the one I was talking about,”Rocky said. “Spencer wasn’t too far behind me, and I didn’t want him to exit the club and recognize the vehicle.”
Jude pounded against the glass. Thud. Thud. Thud.
“Goddamn it,”Felix said as he shoved open the door hard enough to propel Jude backward a few steps. Too bad he hadn’t knocked the nuisance on his delectable ass. Felix stepped onto the asphalt but left his door open for a quick escape. “Not now, Jude,”Felix said.
“When?”Jude asked.
“Felix, we really need to go,”Rocky said from inside the SUV. “You and this piece of shit can have a conversation when we don’t have somewhere to be.”
“Where are you going?”Jude asked.
Felix closed the distance until he was practically in Jude’s face. “None of your fucking business.”
Jude stood tall, proud, and as immovable as a statue. “I want it to be my business.”
Felix searched for the words that would make Jude’s insides quake hard enough to crack his cool facade. He needed his nemesis to rage and burn from the inside out like Felix was. “Damn it,”Rocky said.
“Too late. Both of you idiots get in the vehicle right now.”
