Romeo Montague has always been a little awkward. His cousin, Benny, doesn’t help, often tossing him into situations unprepared; like dragging him to a Renaissance Faire in the middle of Wine Country.
Julien Capulet, a respected festival promoter, has his own quirks. While dealing with his crazy parents and goofy gay uncles, he holds out hope of meeting the one who’ll see past all the frills.
Romeo X Julien is a sexy homage to Will Shakespeare, with more comedy than tragedy. Entertaining and tender, it shows how the course of true love may never be smooth, and that the LGBTQ community has come a long way in a short time.

- Do you have any strange writing habits or superstitions?
Mary: I try not to, but if I don’t have a deadline I cannot get anything finished.
- If you could create a new holiday, what would it be?
Mary: Original People Day – celebrating the Aztecs and others who were here before the Europeans invaded.
- If you were stuck on a desert island all alone with only three things, what would they be?
Mary: A supply of vodka (because it can be mixed with anything), the collected works of Will Shakespeare, my husband (because he can cook).
Bettina: My drawing/painting supplies, an endless supply of coffee with cream and sugar and a good friend.
- What action would your name be if it were a verb?
Mary: Merry
Bettina: To smile and be sunshiny happy.

Mary: Star Trek – showers and toilets
Bettina: One of my own creation

Mary: I would like to go 100 years into the future. Just to see if the species has advanced enough to get over the need to label themselves.
Bettina: I think the future, as I’d like to know whether or not things turn out for the better and can then make the right changes for a better outcome, whereas I know if I went to the past and changed anything, it’d completely affect and/or change the current time.
- How does the world end?
Mary: The star called Sol explodes, but humans are already all over the universe. Like ants at a picnic.

Mary: I like so many! Fruity with alcohol.
Bettina: Coffee, with lots of sugar and flavored creamer.

Bettina: Leftovers from the past few nights, several flavored coffee creamers(so I don’t have to add additional sugar to my coffee), vitamin water, milk, mayo, ketchup, mustard, an assortment of salad dressings, sour cream, fruits and veggies, sandwich meats and cheeses, butter, real maple syrup(again, I’m a New Englander), jelly, eggs…well, you asked and I answered! LOL!
