When it comes to fun in the sun, Steve and Jeff are burning hot.
Steve Anderson is a sommelier and the owner of a successful restaurant, although he prefers to keep that titbit to himself and a select circle of close friends. His orthopaedic surgeon husband Jeff is equally successful in his chosen profession. However, they play as hard as they work, and not only is Jeff a beloved husband, but he’s also a precious sub.
When they’re invited to a summer barbeque aboard a friend’s yacht, they don’t hesitate to accept. The theme is ‘a life on the ocean wave’, but Steve has very particular ideas about costumes…and the kind of fun they’ll have. For the couple, a pirate captain and his naïve captive will take on a whole new dimension for playing out a scene.
However, when someone tries to come between the Dom and his sub, they quickly learn their mistake, leaving Steve to show Jeff just who he belongs to.
REVIEW:
I loved this story for several different reasons. One, this was a Dom that knew how to take care of his sub. In many ways, not just with sex. And that’s how it should be.
Steve does all he can to make sure his husband/sub knows he’s loved and cherished. Whether it means taking care of a problem of a dr trying to hurt Jeff and cause a scene, or showing up at the hospital to ‘take care’ of him, to having a major scene at a bbq and keeping the spice alive in their marriage and lives. He refuses to let anything hurt his Jeff and makes his point known. He also does everything he can to make sure the scenes they do will bring out the most pleasure in his sub’s life. He would do anything for Jeff. And for Jeff, it means a life he’s overwhelmingly happy with.
Steve is just the consummate Dom. He’s everything a Dom is supposed to be. He cares for his sub without pushing too far about Jeff’s independence. He loves how happy Jeff is with his job. He gives everything to Jeff that Jeff doesn’t even know he desires until it happens. He makes Jeff happy in so many ways and asks so little in return. And I love how Steve is. He’s what a Dom is all about and I’m happy I got to read this short story. It’s sweet and romantic, with that kick of BDSM that just sets everything off so well.
