Judd has wandered from pack to pack his whole life, searching for wolves who will accept him for who he is and who he loves. Now he believes that he’s finally found the right pack and the right man.
NERD
Rejected by his family for being gay and geeky, Colin has never fit in with werewolves, yet now he is one. He doesn’t know how to react when Judd starts courting him. He’s even more lost when a famous singer, the selkie mob, and the feds also start chasing him.
Can Judd protect Colin and still prove his love? Can Colin figure out why enemy shifters are invading his favorite cafe? And what’s with all the gold sparkle? Find out in The Enforcer Enigma.
Delicate Sensibilities?
This paranormal romance contains M/M sexy times, horrible puns regarding country music, and men who wear suits without shirts underneath. If you get offended easily, then you probably will. The San Andreas Shifter stories include blue language, dirty deeds, and outright admiration for the San Francisco Bay Area. Not for the faint of heart (or mouth or tongue).
REVIEW:
So you need to understand, in most stories in the m/f world, I’ve often seen the packs books where there is only one omega, and I’ve seen a few pop up in the m/m world. But mostly, shifter books you are either one or the other: alpha, beta, omega. And in this one, I’m super glad to see that there are gammas involved as well. So this series was such a surprise for me. One of about every kind of shifter you could almost imagine is popping up and I LOVE their personalities. I’m really hoping there’s a certain bear and otter that get together soon, but we will have to see.
I love this series. Most of the time the alphas are these big huge beings and omegas are all little and weak like and such and it was a huge surprise to see things so different. The characters are not at ALL what you would normally expect them to be and I LOVE seeing them being outside the box. Seeing things so different. It’s magnificent.
In this story, we have a sweet little wolf who considers himself invisible and weak. Thanks to butthead parents (and I’m editing the real word for Amazon), they’ve left Colin feeling like he’s nothing and because of it, most of the pack feel he’s broken. He doesn’t want to touch like the rest do, or be in the attention of anyone. He would rather fade in the background and never be noticed again. Or well partially. Part of him yearns to be free enough to want a hug or want to be able to flirt with a man, to be femme or whatever he feels like being. But because of his parents, he’s shut himself down. But one shifter has seen him all along and is doing everything he can to ease his way into Colin’s life. To the point of exasperation some days. But he’s willing to do everything in his power to be all he can for Colin. Judd doesn’t feel good enough for Colin for his age alone. But because he’s an enforcer, he feels he would be too rough for what Colin needs. But now the stakes have been upped as a ‘blast from the past’, has been pushed into contacting Colin and his enforcer brother, Kevin, in order to try to get someone else newly involved in the pack. And it’s bringing up horrible feelings for both of them. As well as danger as to what is going on around them. Can Judd finally get Colin to see what everyone else sees in him, especially Judd, or will the past finally do him in?
Knowing how Colin feels about parents and how they make him feel, I felt like Judd. I just wanted to hug and hold him for so long and let him know how special and wonderful he truly is. He’s beauty personified, smart as whip, often underestimated, and even when he feels his weakest, he’s willing to stand in the face of danger for someone that needs help. He goes behind and does all the little things no one normally thinks of to make sure the pack runs smoothly. Even something as simple as making sure the kitchen is ready for the cook the next day or making sure the shifting room is set up with shoes and things where they need to go. Things he thinks no one sees him do. He’s selfless. But someone has seen him from the moment of his first shift, Judd. Colin stopped Judd in his tracks with his pureness and gangly limbs. And when he saw him as human, he saw everything he did. Especially when Colin thought no one saw a thing. But Judd missed nothing. He wanted Colin so bad. But he didn’t know what he had to offer the sweet shifter. He was a big man and afraid would be too too rough with him. He also feels he’s way too old for Colin and never wants to hold him back for anything. But what Judd doesn’t realize, is Colin wants him to be his everything. Colin knows he’s too shy and scared, but no one mattered to him sexually or otherwise until Judd, and Judd is it for him. I love these two so much. Judd, for trying to be all he can for Colin and help support him, but also because he surprised Colin with a secret and because of it, he allowed Colin to soar. In ways no one thought possible. And for Colin, because he’s everything Judd needs. It doesn’t matter the age or that they are different. It’s actually the differences that make it matter more. Because Colin is learning what makes Judd tick and he makes sure that Judd knows he’s priority.
I really really love this series. It’s a breath of fresh air. I truly hope the two I mentioned get together soon. It would make my day.
