Happy Mid Summer. It’s not an official holiday, but maybe it should.
We’ve all heard umpteen zillion times what crazy times we live in, and yep, it’s true. The new normal is new, but I hope only some of it becomes normal. The mask wearing isn’t so bad – raise your hand if you’ve had even a cold since you started wearing a mask. Which itself isn’t too surprising since colds are corona virus themselves. Working from home is something I never thought could happen with my job, but yet, the office is already making plans to have as many of us as they can telework after the pandemic is over and we can return to the office. And of course pollution is down significantly, Those are the good things we could all do with becoming normal.
On the other hand, the social distancing – especially for the kids, – the unemployment, of course all the people who died or have been sickened and who may suffer long term health issues. Yeah, totally not things I hope stick around.
Like many of you, we in our house are adapting and making adjustments. School is the biggest change, which impacts work. ‘lil q’s school is mostly closed, maybe totally. That means one of us is going to need to stay home and take care of her and her education. That someone looks like it will be me. I’m not sure how I feel about it. I think the break from the day job would be good, but if I had any illusions that staying home and being a teacher/teacher’s aide was easier than my work, this abbreviated time in the spring dissuaded me of that idea. So we’re waiting to hear what the school will do and then adapting and adjusting again.
Last, a new release. This is the third in three months. Anyta Sunday and I created the series and waited until it was finished to begin releasing it. Better Be True, is the last of the three that are ready. We have one, probably two more in the works.
Better Be True is available for pre-order and will be released on August 3rd.

Andy Gallo:
Andy prefers mountains over the beach, coffee over tea, and regardless if you shake it or stir it, he isn’t drinking a martini. He remembers his “good old days” as filled with mullets, disco music, too-short shorts, and too-high socks. Thanks to good shredders and a lack of social media, there is no proof he ever descended into any of those evils.
Andy does not write about personal experiences and no living or deceased ex-boyfriends appear on the pages of his stories. He might subconsciously infuse his characters with some of their less noble qualities, but that is entirely coincidental even if their names are the same.
Married and living his own happy every after, Andy helps others find their happy endings in the pages of his stories. He and his husband of more than twenty years spend their days raising their daughter and rubbing elbows with other parents. Embracing his status as the gay dad, Andy sometimes has to remind others that one does want a hint of color even when chasing after their child.
