I never intended to be a Daddy. Well…not that kind anyway.
Fate had other plans, and this tantrum-throwing, heart-melting toddler is now mine to raise. As the CEO of a multinational hotel chain, I’m used to people taking orders from me, but that is not on her to-do list. No matter how much I love her, being a parent to Julia is not the joy and delight portrayed on social media. Then I hear his voice on the radio. Peyton Scott. I rejoice that someone out there gets it, and I will stop at nothing to have him under me. Professionally, naturally.
All right, it’s possible I can’t resist going further.
The terms of his employment are a little…unconventional. But if Peyton signs on the dotted line, I believe I can give him all the things he never knew he needed. He’ll help me learn how to be a better daddy to my little girl, and I’ll teach him how to be the best Little Boy for his Daddy.
REVIEW:
Just Sign Here is a three-way love story between Peyton, Edward, and his young daughter, with her acceptance and love of Peyton and his deep love for her. And of course, along with the love story of Peyton and Edward is their Daddy/boy relationship.
Edward is the very wealthy CEO of a major, upscale hotel chain, and the single father of terror daughter, Julia, who is firmly entrenched in the Terrible Twos. Edward is in Seattle on business, with Julia and her nanny, Cathyrn, in tow. Upon hearing Peyton on a local parenting radio program, Edward is impressed with what he has to say and tracks Peyton down to the front desk of a competing hotel where he works. Edward has a proposition for Peyton: become his full-time assistant and part-time manny on Cathryn’s off hours. Peyton accepts and is soon presented with another proposition and contract, one that has Peyton’s eyebrows lifting: kneel for me. While he is unsure at first, a few unconventional contracts later have Peyton eager to put pen to paper for his signature.
Edward has buried his need to be a caregiver – in the Daddy kink sense – since becoming a full-time father, and now reserves any kind of caregiving to Julia. But he’s riveted by Peyton and senses a compatibility there. Should he take a chance?
He tugged at a chord in me, and I wasn’t sure I liked it. He was tired and didn’t want to lead. He wanted to follow orders. How could I not be drawn to that like a moth to a flame? How could I not want to take a step closer …
Edward and Peyton are sweet together, but I like them best when they’re interacting with Little Miss Julia. Peyton is adorable in how he instinctively knows how to help her during her outbursts and tantrums, and can find parenting solutions that neither Edward or Cathryn thought of. Then again, he has far more parenting experience that Edward.
Other than Julia, the aspect of their relationship I enjoyed the most is their banter with its subtle innuendo. I also liked how they took their time getting to know each other’s bodies through touch. Very titillating. The Daddy/boy kink is mild, involving submission but not age play, and Peyton is not a little. For readers new to kink or the BDSM sub-genre, Just Sign Here could be a gentle introduction to gauge one’s interest. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about a Daddy/boy relationship because Edward has an actual young daughter, but since Peyton isn’t a little, it doesn’t bother me. Edward and Peyton’s kink relationship is sweet.
The ending is a perfect epilogue in the future and provides all the feels a reader could want. I hope you enjoy this lovely, angst-free novel.
