Jon has yearned for a man’s touch for as long as he can remember.
Now two younger men are about to bring his fantasies to life.
Jon Walters is a mess.
He’s thirty-eight. His roommates are eighteen and twenty. It’s never gonna work. But Lord, he wants it to.
He’s spent years hiding his sexuality. Denying his desires. Guys don’t come out at my age – do they? Except he did come out once – and went right back in again. How does he explain all this to Del, his brother? That’s a conversation Jon is dreading. Del is the only family Jon has left, and he’s going to be hurt. Angry. Not to mention, there are secrets Jon does not want to share.
And then there’s Chaz and Kendis. Wasn’t falling for one guy enough of a challenge? I had to fall for both of them? And what the hell do they see in me? Because they’re not making it easy for him to say no.
Whichever way he looks at it, Jon’s life just went way beyond It’s Complicated…
* first time
* age gap
* Out For You

This is the final book in the Southern Boys trilogy, and it deals with characters introduced in book #2, Pride & Protection. Yes, you could read it as a standalone, but reading the previous book is recommended.
REVIEW:
I am a really big fan of K.C. Wells and I don’t think I’ve read a book of hers that I didn’t like. However, when I first started this book, I was a little worried about how I’d feel about the age gap between Jon and his boys, Chaz and Kendis. It was more due to how young one of the boys was at the beginning.
Jon is lonely and scared. Not something a manly man is supposed to admit to, but after watching his brother find his true love, Jon is really wishing for something like they have for himself.
When he offered Chaz a place to live, he had no idea that the young man was going to change his life completely.
Chaz and Kendis are madly in love, but both of them feel like there is room in their relationship for something (or someone) more.
The author does a great job of showing the growing attraction between the three men and I love the way that Kendis and Chaz are so in sync with each other. The drama doesn’t come from where you think it might in this story and I found it very refreshing.
Jon’s relationship with his brother is a really wonderful part of this story. Del’s story was in the book before this and I love how we get to see some of his “happily-ever-after” in this book. It would be awesome if every person struggling with who they are had a brother like Del to support them.
It’s the little things about this story that make it special. How Chaz and Jon and Del are changing the world around them for the better and Chaz goes a long way to make life better for Kendis, outside of their relationship.
It all comes together in a sweet and loving story that shows how people can grow and find themselves at whatever age they want.
Coming out isn’t just for the young after all.
You don’t have to have read the first two books in this series, but reading Pride and Protection will help you enjoy this story even more.
Another well done tale from a talented writer!
