REVIEW:
Each book from Miss Lennox makes me feel happy, when I see a new release coming it makes me smile and I cannot wait to start reading.
Yes I have preferences in what I like best and all but there is not a single book that has dissapointed me so far 🙂
This again also didn’t do that but I have to admit it also isn’t one of my favorites. I Liked it a lot, the slow burn, the bantering and of course Nine! I mean seriously what is not to love about this guy? You could say he is perfect but that would give you the wrong impression because Nine is just Nine and is absolutely awesome.
Cooper is his opposite and in his own way, just as endearing with his dreams and expectations but most of all in his love for his family. The way he treats his brother, his mum and what he would do for them is adorable and feels very real.
I loved the progress of Nine during the book. How he stood up for himself more and more and found his confidence as the story flowed.
The epilogue is very satisfying and I am glad we got to read that! The bonus short really cracks up my rating because that was seriously so nice (I wish there would have been more!)
Then why the hesitation you might wonder? The problem is, despite the wonderful main characters and their connection there wasn’t much else that made it stand out. Like I said the story is nice and sweet, there is no real angst and the side characters work well (Jacks, Eli) and if that is what you are looking for than this is definitely the story for you!
It probably is also somewhat personal because I am not fond of the title and the number as a name. I definitely preferred to think of Nine as Isaac, which make him definitely more mature and more like the man I felt he is. Wonderful, kind, compassionate, sexy, loving and strong.
That being said I am curious if there will be a follow up on this story. Eli’s story for example?
Back to this one, the title kind of tells you what kind of story you are getting and I am pretty sure that with the wonderful writing, as always, from Miss Lennox you will definitely get pulled into this story and the lives of Nine and Cooper. For me it was a nice sweet story that I enjoyed reading for a couple of hours 🙂
