When Ben Corbin’s uncle is murdered, he comes into possession of information about the man responsible for the death of his mother and father. A man his uncle appeared to be hunting. Now Ben wants to finish what his uncle began.
Jacob Moser fell into a cycle of drugs and abuse. His will broken, his life destroyed, he had no hope of survival. But the man who saved him is no angel; rather, the remnants left behind when all the complexities of what makes a person human are stripped away, leaving the darkest parts of a man.
Marcel Serghi lives by the rules of his House. Rules ingrained in him as a child under the most brutal conditions meant to hone him into a perfect killer. And throughout his life, he has made vicious enemies. Now innocent lives have been swept up into a storm of revenge against him.
But Marcel isn’t going to save them.
He’s going to change them.
Because life is a gift.

“Who are these people? These Houses? Mafia?”
“I don’t think so.”
“You don’t think so?” Ben wrinkled his brow.
“I told you what I know.”
“Yeah, nothing.”
“If Marcel wanted me to know more he’d tell me.”
If Marcel wanted him to know. Ben’s stomach curled. “Have you even bothered to ask?”
Jacob’s sapphire gaze darkened.
“You haven’t have you?”
Jacob added another glob of Aloe to Ben’s chest.
“Have you asked Marcel anything about himself?”
Tension creased Jacob’s eyes.
“Jesus-fucking-christ, Jacob. He’s a murderer. You’re having sex with him and you don’t even know anything about him.”
Jacob fell still. His Adam’s apple bobbed. His hands trembled. Then he took a breath and filled his palm again. “All I need to know is that murderer saved my life. He showed me I was worth something.”
“Because you let him fuck you?” Ben let every drop of disdain fill his words. Jacob deserved better. He deserved to be cared about. Not used. Not taken for granted.
“I want him to fuck me. There’s a difference. I chose to let him.” Jacob’s breath hitched. “I want to be with him.”
“Because he saved you.” Even the words tasted foul.
Jacob narrowed a look at Ben. “Yeah. Because he saved me.”
“At what cost?” Did Marcel even appreciate Jacob’s life? Did he give two shits about the gift he claimed to value more than money?
“There’s no amount big enough to pay him back for what he did.”
“Just because he chose to save your life doesn’t mean you owe him anything. Especially when it puts you right back where you were.” Not his very being.
“When it makes me a whore?” A tick jumped in Jacob’s jaw.
Shame made Ben look away.
“Go on, say it.”
“I don’t need to.” Ben did look then.
Even angry, Jacob was beautiful.
“Here, you can do the rest yourself.” He set the bottle of aloe on the bedside table and stood.
Ben grabbed his wrist.
How could Jacob think he’d gotten a deal? This man was too perfect. There was kindness in his eyes. Gentleness in his presence. How could he think he wouldn’t do anything but wilt beneath Marcel’s shadow?
“It can’t be worth it, Jacob. Whatever protection he gives you can’t be worth the cost.”
Jacob jerked from his grasp and rubbed the scar burned into his hand beside his thumb. “I guess if you want to live, you’ll find out.”

I am a writer of contemporary and speculative fiction and artist of all things monster. I live to create new worlds and the people in them. Several of my books have been best sellers both nationally and internationally. I have also been a finalist in the LAMDA awards, the “Oscars” of gay literary works.
I do my best to write original stories with powerful characters and emotion as well as a fast-paced plot. My goal isn’t just to deliver a good story but to take the reader into the story and let them experience the characters as if they are right there with them.
While almost all my books have a romantic element, I will be the first to admit, they are not traditional romance. In fact, I’d like to think there is nothing traditional about them. And the stories I paint are done so way outside the lines of traditional genres.
One of my favorite things to do as a writer is push the boundaries of what makes a story and to deliver the unexpected and maybe even change the perspective of the reader.
My characters are more often than not, beautifully flawed, not always the good guy, and make mistakes. Their stories will take dark turns which, in the end, make the light at the end of the tunnel all the brighter.
If you’re looking for something different, exciting, and unique, my books are for you.
