Synopsis
What happens when a confirmed hook up app user falls for a man who is his polar opposite?
Carter Walsh will be alone on Valentine’s Day, and his plans include a candy sampler of hook ups.
But after learning about the Cupid Crawl—a bar crawl covering a half dozen bars, gay and straight—he changes his plans.
During the crawl, he runs into:
An ex-co-worker nemesis who resurrects—loudly—an unfortunate nickname she bestowed upon him years before.
Several hot men eager for a quick hook up.
And one man absolutely not Carter’s type, but who manages to pique his interest and, possibly, steal his heart.
The Cupid Crawl is a funny, sweet, and steamy opposites attract, slight age gap story that takes place in the Williamsville Inn series world, and features characters from the Christmas stories “Snowflakes and Song Lyrics” by Hank Edwards and “Snowstorms and Second Chances” by Brigham Vaughn.
Carter noticed a man looming behind Lizzie’s right shoulder. “You’ve got a lurker.”
“What?” Lizzie turned. “Oh! That’s not a lurker. That’s Harry.”
Carter checked Harry out a little closer. He was big, six foot four at least, with dark hair and a wide face that tapered to a square jaw with a deep dimple. He wore black plastic-framed glasses and sported a mustache long enough to allow him to wax the ends so they stuck out a bit past his lips.
Harry was apparently trying to bring back 1970’s porn star chic. Or imitate a villain from a silent movie.
There was so much going on with Lizzie’s lurker friend, the only thought that really stood out in Carter’s mind was Harry was a whole lot of man.
“Hi there,” Harry said with a flash of a smile and a quick wave.
“Hi. Nice…” Carter stopped, a bit at a loss for what to say next. He finally settled on, “Glasses.”
“Oh, thanks.” Harry adjusted the frames and looked off toward the bar, sliding his gaze back to Carter before quickly shifting it away again.
“Are you two dating?” Carter asked Lizzie.
“Harry?” Lizzie laughed. “And me?” Her laugh intensified in volume and duration, then she looked at Harry. “Would you date me?”
Harry shifted nervously and flicked his gaze between Carter and Lizzie. He was probably sensing some kind of trap, and rightly so, based on Carter’s experience when he used to worked with Dizzy Frizzy Lizzie.
Finally, Harry gave a simple shrug. “Probably not a good idea, since we work together.”
Lizzie laughed again and slapped a hand flat on Harry’s chest, pulling Carter’s attention to how he was dressed. Harry wore a white T-shirt with a graphic of cartoon abs stretched tight across his chest and the slight swell of his belly. A pair of stone washed jeans hugged big thighs and, from what Carter could see, a well-rounded ass. New Balance sneakers completed his ensemble, which apparently was ‘urban hipster tech geek’.
“You are a riot!” Lizzie nearly shouted, then suddenly turned back to Carter with a sly look. “Are you hitting on my VD escort?”
“VD?” Carter said a little louder than intended, and several guys turned to look with slightly alarmed expressions.
“Yeah, CF, VD,” Lizzie said. “Valentine’s Day, silly. Harry’s my VD escort today, and I want to know if you’ve set your sights on him.”
“Oh my God, you cannot keep calling him that,” Carter said.
“Thank you,” Harry muttered and blew out a heavy breath.

The Cupid Crawl is a fun book. Sometimes I wished someone had found a ball gag for Lizzie. She was insufferable. And I loved Carter and Harry.
